Bad Bunny would have made my list too, nice to see him as high as the top 100. Not listened to his new album yet oops but the last two were both great.

Is the solo version more acoustic? I always thought they were pretty similar - and don’t blame Seal for doing it either considering Adamski didn’t credit him…. Although I would agree that the original 1990 single is still the definitive version

Actually relistening to the Seal version perhaps acoustic was wrong word (there is more guitar though) but the electronics are def a bit more subtle and less harsh/pronounced than the original which was starker and grabbed the attention more.

Still fab song overall.

I wasn't expecting (and hoping) to see Bad Bunny top 100 here. *cough cough* :P

Intrigued about the *cough cough* with relation to Bad Bunny! Not too surprised he's here as Buzzjack has a sizeable international contingent.

Admittedly haven't checked enough of Nat King Cole or Johnny Cash to include them in votes but both have a classic or two that I know!

Also do enjoy a few of Jason's big hits too. Not ashamed to say!

Seal has some great songs too!

Nat King Cole is such a stunning vocalist.

Bad Bunny wasn't too far off for me... was a fan of his Un Verano Sin Ti album last year, especially 'Tití Me Preguntó'. Although 'DÁKITI' is probably still my favourite song of his overall.

BIGGEST HIT: OLD TOWN ROAD (#1, 2019) MONTERO (#1, 2021)

Nat King Cole's voice is always a welcome soothing presence especially at this time of year. Timbaland had a great run as a super producer in the 00s (wouldn't mind seeing him make a bit of a comeback especially with 'greedy' copying his sound a bit to great effect lately). Not sure if Lil Nas X would quite have made the list for me but he has had some killer singles and his album was solid as well, interested to see if he'll manage to maintain chart relevance in his next era, was a little disappointed that 'STAR WALKIN'' only just scraped the top 40 as that's one of his best songs to date imo but I suppose it was just a soundtrack release so hopefully he'll come back with something big as his next proper lead single.
Thought Lil Nas X would be higher here tbh.

I know both of those are very critically acclaimed but I've never been massively into either of them (aside from their signature tunes I guess!)

EDIT: I typed that before the Pitbull entry was posted, I wasn't referring to him as I don't think he's particularly critically acclaimed :P

Love 'Games without Frontiers' with uncredited Kate Bush obvs but think my favourite PG track is 'Digging in the Dirt'.

'Heard It Through The Grapevine' an absolute classic and I do enjoy most of what I know of Marvin's. Didn't vote for Peter Gabriel but his duet with Kate Bush, 'Sledgehammer' and 'Big Time' are all good.

Pitbull give or take :P 'Timber' is still a banger!

Oops I forgot Marvin Gaye! What's Going On was a fantastic album, incredible to think how relevant it still is to this day (and that he had such a hard time releasing it when it's almost marketable to have music with a message these days)
My favourites from Marvin: 'Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)', 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' and 'What's Going On', some great duets too.
Quite like Lil Nas and used to love a bit of Timbland but not too bothered by any of the other recent outs

I watched a Trash Theory documentary about Peter Gabriel a couple of days before voting in this (excellent YouTube channel) so he was fresh in my mind at the time and snuck in. 'Sledgehammer' was my gateway (favourite song on Now 7 x) and I've enjoyed most of what I've discovered from him since.

Lil Nas X was another near miss for me - 'MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)' had me in a chokehold two years ago and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the hard-hitting lyricism on the accompanying album, 'TALES OF DOMINICA' in particular really grabbed me. Probably a future inclusion if he keeps up the good work next era.
