BIGGEST HIT: FUNKY FRIDAY (#1, 2018) STARLIGHT (#1, 2022) SPRINTER (#1, 2023)

Quite surprised to see both Jay-Z and Billy Joel having climbed so much from last time.

Not sure how I feel about Dave, he's undoubtedly one of the most talented of the current rappers but very few of his songs do anything for me.

Ooh a pretty good debut position for Dave there, loved both of his full albums so far  cool to see Jay-Z in the top 50 too although he wouldn't have made my own list. Billy Joel has a good handful of great tunes too (including one that my mum used to play all the time and I only recently discovered via a throwaway mention in a YouTube video was one of his songs, 'The Downeaster 'Alexa'' - only a #76 hit in the UK unfortunately! Definitely needs to be co-opted as an Amazon exclusive etc. xx)
My favourites from Jay-Z are '99 Problems', 'Empire State of Mind' and his part on 'Numb / Encore'. My scores were originally based on iPod plays (as I only started scrobbling in 2020) so he may have been slightly bumped up in my points by 'Crazy In Love' and 'Umbrella' to keep Bob Dylan out of the top 50, but at least one of them made it.
Not saying I wasn't a fan of it when it first came out! Just I appreciated it more than ever with its chart comeback recently.

Fair enough!

Both of Dave's albums are excellent  'Black' and 'Lesley' from his debut really made me take notice before checking out the full thing, a genius concept album. Then there's barely a dip in quality for the sophomore, my favourites there are: 'Heart Attack', 'In The Fire' and 'Both Sides Of A Smile' with James Blake. Love his wordplay and often piano-laden production style.

Great to see Billy Joel making the top 50 also!

Billy Joel was one of the last I cut - I like 'Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)' and 'We Didn't Start The Fire', as well as the one Westlife ruined and Olivia sang about.

BIGGEST HIT: PRAISE YOU (#1, 1999)

Massive jump for Fatboy Slim - surprised as not had hits for years (and doubt that Rita Ora thing would have helped his voting) but well deserved!
I think Fatboy Slim was decently fresh in my memory as I enjoyed watching his Glastonbury set! He has many great songs, 'Right Here Right Now' being an all-time favourite.
Lots of my votes dropping out now... My faves from Bob Marley are all with The Wailers, so nominally a group but anyway: 'No Woman No Cry', 'Redemption Song', 'One Love / People Get Ready'. For Fatboy Slim 'The Rockafeller Skank', 'Gangster Trippin' and then I guess a combination of his other guises (best of all 'Dub Be Good To Me' although maybe Beats International are legitimately a group) and his remixing (best of all 'Brimful Of Asha') gives him a token third (or failing that, 'Praise You' which gets extra points from me for the video).

Niall is musically my favourite former 1Der so it's a shame he's dropped a bit from last time. How the hell has Fatboy Slim managed to pull off such a massive climb when he hasn't had a hit for years?!? I'm not complaining but I'm very confused about that!
I really enjoy Niall Horans solo work he has so many good songs, shame he dropped on the chart this time but good to see him top 50. Good to see a few other voters along with myself voting for Bob Marley.

Niall in the top 50 is funny !!

Bob i didnt vote for but what a legend !!

Great climb for fat boy slim

Don't think I'd have voted for him but I don't think I've ever heard a bad Bob Marley song, albeit I'm not sure there are any songs of his I consider truly all time greats, he's just consistently good. Likewise Fatboy Slim probably wouldn't quite have made it for me (maybe just scraping in?) but he has an iconic array of hits under his various guises.

Niall has been the most consistently good solo 1D career for me, although my favourite individual songs by Harry ('Satellite' or 'As It Was') and ZAYN ('PILLOWTALK') are better than my fave from Niall (hot take but it's still 'This Town').
