Support Tension this week

Stream the album version on your chosen platform 10 times day

Stream each of the 4 remixes 10 times daily also

Download the 59p version on itunes. 2 Itunes (deluxe and standard albmus) to download

Download the store exclusive extended mix version

Download the EP or each individual track (more purchases) from Itunes, Amazon etc

Watch the video on YouTube and any remix videos/visualisers we may get

Start from midnight tonight in UK to give the song a boost

Kylie has 26 weeks in the UK top 100 singles chart in 2023 already, let's try for a few more

Are you planning on buying them all individually SmileyKylie? iTunes, Amazon, 7Digital, Juno & Qobuz?

I haven't even seen what is available yet or the cost!!

I don't want everyone to buy everything, just what they usually would off their chosen platform. All I see on each forum is negativity about remixes that everyone has been asking for, just because they are a couple of weeks out of people's wants! People giving it a miss Lol.

And it always annoys me that people want to wait rather than support at the start of the chart week which is the most important!!! They start streaming on a Monday rather than at start of week on a Friday lol

I'm sure many of the fans will have a listen to the mixes, regardless of what they've been saying. I think there is a consensus that the remixes are surprisingly late, almost like an afterthought, which I personally agree with. I think many of us would have predicted they'd arrive prior to the album's release, but whatever, it didn't work out that way.

The thing is, although there are clearly many fans who get concerned about Kylie releases being timed well (in terms of having maximum impact on her chart success), there's equally many fans who don't care as deeply about such things. I think there's many people who will approach these remixes in a casual way... for the sake of their own enjoyment, more so than heavily focusing on what these remixes mean for "the campaign" or her career at large. So they'll be like "oh they're out, cool, I'll have a listen" - and maybe this'll be on release day, or maybe they'll notice after a few days. A lot may simply not care about remixes, and that's fine too.

I really think when it comes to Tension (single) at this point, whatever will be will be. Maybe a remix will find itself onto a good playlist, get some decent enough streams, cool if it happens. Personally I feel no motivation to repeatedly stream them as if it'll help Tension get a new peak or something, that clearly won't happen. A re-entry at #87 or whatever is something I'll find cool for about 5 seconds before I move onto reading something else. What I get out of Tension, commercially, is that it reached the Top 20. That was exciting to celebrate a few weeks ago.

I just think, we can all afford to relax now. Although of course it's your prerogative to do what you've outlined in your first post. B-)

I'll buy them all in lossless and stream. But that's it. BMG are too late with this one.

Yes, I’ll stream too but like you say BMG are too late for me to be invested from a multi-streaming/chart obsessed perspective.

I’m glad we have them and hopefully they will be bangers and I can listen without feeling obliged to stream 24/7 for once

The battle with tension was won for me when it went top 20, the released the remixes far too late but I'm in the better late than never boat and will listen to them all properly over the weekend.

Just listened - all good but none I was particularly wowed by (having them on an EP can make them all blend into one but obviously the benefits of doing so can be greater than listing them separately).

Spotify went straight into PP after the EP though.

How I rank them:

1. Chromeo

2. Shadow Child

3. George Reid

4. KDA

Having now listened to them all, I agree with this ranking.

I was rather disappointed with the KDA one as they've done some really good stuff in the past, I'd probably enjoy it if I was off my face or something.

The Chromeo one is proper funky disco :music:

Shadow Child is quite 90s ravey!

The Chromeo one is definitely the best, it does a good job of keeping a strong song but giving it a different vibe and therefore make it useable in a different setting.

Not really fussed on any of the others tbh. Haven't actually seen the extended version anywhere so can't comment on that one.

Shadow Child was marginally my favourite, love the 1995 dance vibe of it, but the Chromeo mix was enjoyable too.

I really disliked the KDA mix, the kind of dropping/sloping down sound effect the production has all the way through was not for me.

4. KDA

Same for me too, the Chromeo one is the only one I could see myself going back to.

None of them really stand out but the Chromeo Remix at a push is tge better one, I just love the original though.

The remixes not really making any impact.

I don't think they will help Tension achieve a chart return this week.

I think because they are left so late it may have hindered them but they will still help add a few sales, it would be nice to see Tension hit 100k.

Well this week we have 4 remixes, a remix EP, a BTS Youtube vid. I am hopeful we could just about see it top 100 in the midweeks tomorrow but doubtful.

Still hopefully a Remix CD could be thrown out, though i know the 3 physical rule many talk about

its funny actually that the George Reid remix actually increased its streaming on Saturday to 11.1k (+6.2k) as on Friday it had got 4.9k
