Taylor Swift could land at #1 on the singles chart with one of her tracks from 1989 (Taylor's Version). There's also new singles out this week from The Kid LAROI, Chase & Status, Nathan Dawe/Bebe Rexha, Green Day and Everything Everything

Taylor's Version of 1989 is guaranteed to claim the #1 album spot, in a week including releases from Duran Duran with Danse Macabre, Brent Faiyaz with Larger Than Life plus debut records from FIZZ with The Secret of Life and CASISDEAD with Famous Last Words. There's also new albums from Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, James Blunt, The Gaslight Anthem, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Poppy, WARGASM, Black Pumas, DJ Shadow, The Mountain Goats, The Kills, Taking Back Sunday, Sofia Kourtesis, In This Moment, Wild Nothing and Flyte

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

This question has probably been asked elsewhere, so apologies but I haven’t found the answer:

Does anybody knoww whether the ’Taylor’s versions’ and original versions of Taylor Swift songs are combined for singles chart purposes?

Generally all recordings of a song are combined, but there may be some special reason why they aren’t. I assumed they would be, but someone elsewhere made a comment that implied they wouldn’t.

they’re uncombined as released on different record labels

Does that mean the re-recordings that have already been released as singles e.g. Style, be exempt from ACR?

they’re uncombined as released on different record labels

Thank you. I wondered if that was the case.

Yes, all the new re-recordings are treated as brand new songs and new chart entries

It’ll be interesting to see how the week pans out. I hope Taylor can grab a week at #1.

Taylors tracks are down to Kenya-level today

But hopefully the firstday streams are enough

Basically they did double so its likehave an extra dayof streams

I dont even mind if its $l*t, Style or Is it over now

Hopefully the latter goes viral like All Too Well cos of the Harry link

Did it really only peak at @21!!!!
Yes, Taylor hadn't put her music onto Spotify at the time and the 1989 singles suffered as a result (notably Style and Wildest Dreams).

Think it will be close to see if she does get the #1 single

Cause they are all down to about the same level as Strangers/Prada now and I imagine they will keep declining as the week goes on

Theres hope the first day cushion is enough

Yeah there’s a chance but I’m not that confident it will be. The tracks aren’t doing great on Amazon, ‘$l*t’ isn’t even top 100 there.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the original 1989 in the charts on Friday, also should be quite a few new entries
