Yes, I bought it today from HMV, although they only had two copies, hardly a majorly pushed release for them.

I think they know to hold back when artist stores push direct sales so much - so many artists push pre-orders and website exclusives on fans than HMV can only mop up a few sales.

I’ve downloaded 4 of the extended versions but not buying the whole album. I think there will be a lot of cherry picking so can’t see this release doing much for the album but the audience show will hopefully give it a good short boost.

Streaming wise it hasnt done much on Spotify. HOTN extended mix got around 7k of streams worldwide on Friday. so if 12 songs x 7k thats 84k of Spotify streams world wide. The original album got an extra 3-4k each song so 16 x 3k = 48k

 

So around an extra 132k of Spotify streams worldwide on Friday. A few exta sales for UK total this week

It’s very much a fan centric release so will be a 1 week wonder regardless, the vinyl will give it a boost which will disappear in week 2.

Gah, hopefully it’ll be combined with the original like the one for Disco was!

Is this something that will be rectified later in the week? I can't think of a specific example off the top off my head, but I swear there have been instances where similar releases were listed separately in the midweek update and the combined in the final chart.

Could it be because it has a different title, whereas Disco's extended mixes didn't (really)?

There have been situations like that, hopefully it’ll be the case with this because I don’t see any different between this album and the Disco extended mixes album other than a name change.

Great update for tension but not so much for extension but I'm very happy to see tension so high.

to be fair Extension must be on 2-3k if it was 8 on Mondays char, so Tension has picked up a lot and maybe on 3k? for if it was combined could we be looking at 6k this week ?
