Those 7,000 plus sales from Thursday would have been a great boost. Blame Apple for that mess.

vinyl singles are always limited these days, you cannot simply produce unlimited vinyl singles

that's actually the plan, the limiting factor also helps with sales and people grabbed them in 5 minutes

Wham almost overtaking Mariah already then, it does looks like they’ll stop her returning to number one this year at this point.

A Pinkpantheress video just came up on my for you page of her announcing a new single “nice to meet u” featuring central cee dropping Friday 10th, could see that challenging for the top spot along with Dua next week

Don't worry, Xmas songs will be doing huge numbers soon and dominating the chart :cheer:

The Beatles still holding up nicely, looking forward to seeing their numbers in the mids today. Olivia's Hunger Games song holding up decently so far too, could perhaps grow into a decent hit with the film release (/ in the new year after the Xmas clearout).

 

Starting to worry the 'White Christmas' glitch might end up being permanent at this rate... :')

Is the reason why Last Christmas overtakes AIWFCIY earlier every year because the general public are starting to get bored of or irritated by AIWFCIY?

I don't understand how it's problematic that some christmas hits enter top 40 already in November. They are not going to challenge number one before December anyway. Last year they reigned for 4 chart weeks.

 

You can choose to not listen to them (at home at least, not sure in shops etc)

There was only one motorway in England in 1963!

we’ve literally never had wham and mariah go top 40 in the first week of november before though

the xmas songs takeover didn’t used to start until december now it’s two months of it

Streams are lower at the top end so it makes sense to enter earlier!
