Posty made his country debut at the CMAs last night, performing a couple of Joe Diffie songs with HARDY & Morgan Wallen. After the event he confirmed in the interview that he’s working on a full country album! Both have been released as part of HARDY’s upcoming ‘HIXTAPE Vol. 3’, with Post on the studio recording of ‘Pickup Man’.

He’s been in the studio recently with Luke Combs and Brad Paisley, so I expect it’ll release sometime next year.

Oh fgs. Just as Chemical was somewhat reigniting my enthusiasm for Post Malone, he's doing this. It's giving (US market) trend hopping.

I'll just stay listening to his first three albums thanks.

He’s been dipping into country music for years now in fairness, with songs such as Stay and a few live covers. It was bound to happen at some point, and he’s not just forcing himself into something which he doesn’t actually like.

He confirmed on a livestream that two albums are coming - one country, and other presumably isn’t.

The country one sounded like it was pretty much completed.

lol another artist jumping on the country bandwagon!

In fairness to him, he's been performing country covers live for years now! And some old album tracks like 'Stay', 'Feeling Whitney', 'Oh God' & are all quite country-inspired.

Post Malone is varied enough I think he could pull off most genres tbh. He’s definitely tried between album tracks, country/pop features, and the odd dance feature.

Dial Drunk being a key source of hope for me. If he can make an album that sounds like the Noah feature I’ll be happy. Pair that with some Luke Combs and Zach Bryan inspo and he’s got a winner

Gonna move this into the R&B forum so all his topics are together, as per the current forum procedures.
