I’m not sure as Spotify and Apple probably won’t playlist it as it has been an Amazon exclusive and Amazon probably won’t push it as much as irs no longer an exclusive to them. It will probably get good radio airplay though

Anyone know the record for highest Spotify daily streams in the UK?

Adele's 'Easy On Me' doing 2,801,638 on its first day is the record I think. (Wham! did 2,669,539 on Christmas Day last year so a good chance they'll beat that this year).

Tbf unlike river (I actually really like it ) I can see Sam becoming a regular once he released on the other platforms

 

I agree i think River was just the perfect cover for Ellie and of course Alexa helped it gain no1 but there were other factors!

Pleasantly surprised to see this charting, it didn't go top 200 in its initial run a couple years ago. I wonder how high it'll climb? It should still be on SCR so may have a chance of entering the top 100 in this weeks chart? Maybe reaching a new peak (#99 is its current peak)?

 

Also Sam Ryder #3 & #32 on Amazon. It looks like the 2nd version is slowly falling in favour of the main version? But he's likely #1 on Amazon by a decent margin once you take into ACR (Wham/Mariah are #1 & #2).

 

With big Christmas day streams ahead, I'm thinking Sam is likely getting to #1 this week! :cheer:

I don't think it's impossible that Sam could be #1 this week but bear in mind he is probably not going to have anywhere near as high pure sales this week as he did last week.

Friday was great for Sam! The public found out that he had a Christmas song, and he sold more CDs. Sam must be doing something right because there were plenty of angry little people complaining that he was still around, haha.
