Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I’m not sure how much I expect him to sell? I assume Taylor, Rolling Stones and Take That will continue to sell well through December!

Top 3 guess for today

1. Pogues

2. Wham!

3. Mariah Carey

If the Pogues are number 1 today i expect them to be about #3 tomorrow.

i hope the pogues can get to the top 5 at least this week, but unfortunately i doubt they'll ever make the #1 even with the tragic circumstances because of how well the other xmas songs do. unless theres a major campaign? i would like to see it up there though, its one of the best classic christmas songs. i also hope youre losing me can sneak into the top 10, even if its just for tonights mids
The Pogues have the big download advantage and they seem to have done better on Amazon than on Spotify so I think there is a chance they could have the First Look #1, but probably unlikely that they'd be able to hold it all week.

I know this argument never goes away, but I hope that ‘Fairytale of NY’ doesn’t make it to 1… ever. At least not in its original homophobic version…

Two straight people using a homophobic, derogatory term is NO different that 2 white people using the ‘N’ word to describe a black person, in a derogatory way.

It sickens me to hear people singing the original version.

Hoping Lovin On Me remains at no. 1 today.

I doubt it, wham and Mariah are doing almost 3x streams on Spotify, so even with ACR they’re doing more
