I'm curious to know how Ed and Elton are doing with their playlisting. They've got some solid playlisting on Amazon and they're currently at #7 in the first look, so they're definitely in the running for another big year. Could they get #1?

Amazon is tracking two versions of Sam Ryder's song: the ‘Your Christmas or Mine 2’ version, and the single version. It will be interesting to see what happens when the movie is released, as it’s the focus track. Jorja's song is charting much higher than Lizzo's cover was last year, with similar playlisting. If you ask Alexa to play some Christmas music, you're almost guaranteed to hear either Sam or Jorja's song first.

Ed & Elton have no chance because wham and Mariah (as well as now Brenda and some of the others) do massive numbers daily. Even with the handicap they do more. They’ll do well in the top 10 again but they’re not making it to the top again this year

is Sam getting released outside of Amazon or is it only Amazon and a CD?
Also the concept of a Christmas song is arbitrary. Lily Allen's cover of Somewhere Only We Know is now considered as a Christmas song when it really isn't. Ellie Goulding had a #1 with River (Joni Mitchell cover) which isn't generally considered a Christmas song even though it thematically fits. Should these be excluded as well if Christmas songs are not allowed?

I vote yes!

I have no idea what any of the words mean re the number one album.

They've released a series of EPs with the main title 'THE WORLD', this is the final one in the series and is subtitled 'WILL'. I think. x

Their last EP did make the top 10 as well so this is not totally out of nowhere. Probably Taylor to be back at #1 by the end of the week though?

edit: although this one appears to actually be a full album despite still having EP in the title. K-Pop title conventions are weird.

That is the most depressing/boring chart possible lmao. I'll check out until January I guess because I'm such a Grinch 🤭
Was just about to post about that, some really big tumbles for tracks this week. Asking is at #93 too.

Both Prada and Asking have gone to ACR so their falls are even further exaggerated

with the current craziness over xmas songs, watch Buble be #1 in albums come Friday like if it were Dec 25
