I heard this yesterday in a shop. For me another underrated Christmas track that doesn't really appear in the chart domination (not even at the bottom).

Bow down to Basshunter. One I always expected to have resurgence beyond it's low level Top 40 peak in 2008 but alas it hasn't. Radio 1 still spin it every now and again though.

 

In my chart Cheeky Girls single was dethroned by Fast Food Rockers - I Love Christmas on Christmas week.

 

 

But in 2004 year my Christmas chart became iconic with Hot Pantz, Skandi Girls and "I Got You Babe" in top 3.

 

Hot Pantz is actually on my playlist :lol:

The mention of a Radio 1 chart campaign has reminded me of this, not a Christmas song of course but it was one of the earliest download era campaigns for Christmas #1, predating RATM by 2 years (although it only got to #31 sadly):

 

 

Really gets me in the festive spirit :cheeseblock: (it is a tune though in all seriousness)

I think this was initially released around 2000 (2001 for the UK on the All You Want CD) but I love this one from Dido. I don't think it had an opportunity to resonate with the public as the mini disc format it was released was ineligible to chart.

 

I love the Dido one too - I did hear it a few times on the radio at the time.
