She's been #1 twice since then.

as fake as its position is, cant deny its a great song! cant wait to put it on my playlist next year when it goes to spotify! and nice for sam to get another hit, no matter how fake
Sam Ryder is in pole position to challenge Wham! for Number 1 this week. You’re Christmas To Me currently sits less than 800 chart units away from knocking Last Christmas from the top spot.

As it stands, Sam’s Amazon Music Original is expected to rise to Number 2, meaning it'd becoming his second single to peak in that position alongside Eurovision 2022 anthem SPACE MAN.

But it’s not a done deal yet. The Pogues ft. Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York is not far behind, following the funeral of the late Shane MacGowan last week. The classic looks to rise from last week (3), while Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You is still reliably in play for a coup (4).

Another Amazon Music Original to keep an eye on, Jorja Smith’s cover of Stay Another Day is looking to be this week’s big riser; up 18 midweek to Number 8. It would be the critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter’s second UK Top 10 single, and first in four years.

As the race for 2023's Official Christmas Number 1 single approaches, we also see a couple of festive favourites rising midweek; Ed Sheeran and Elton John’s Merry Christmas (7), and Elton John once again with solo single Step Into Christmas (9).
