Realistically how many streams would this and the infamous River have to do on that one platform to outdo everything else? It is at Christmas time as many households have Alexas and ask them to play Christmas music. Plus the Alexa exclusives aren't on ACR like the majority of Christmas songs in the chart
December 17, 20232 yr I usually just ask Alexa to play Christmas music, and she spams Sam. It's bad, but not offensive enough to skip, unlike Last Easter, that don't you know you've come so faaaaar, dire thing, Christmas Tree Farm, etc.
December 17, 20232 yr #26 Cher!!!! She is so getting that top 40! With the Royal Variety performance tonight could she even possibly climb? Hopefully she can stay top 30, she will have a top 30 hit in 7 consecutive decades then (even at top 40 that's an amazing achievement).

December 17, 20232 yr I do wish that they would make first look especially (but all the mids really) more meaningful by saying all streams will be counted to the same day, so in this case exclude the Saturday Amazon streams. Then people would actually be able to get an update that meant something, rather than falsely thinking that Sam is almost on course for #1.

I listened to the Spotify Top 50 today and its full of jazz standards before I was born - Ronettes, Dean Martin, Bobby Helms (or even worse, Buble covers). All mean nothing to me and utterly dull.

It’s only Sunday so the sales are skewed towards Amazon and iTunes downloads. Hardly a conspiracy - no more so than songs that are automatically placed high on spotifys playlists.
