I Remember Everything

1st Single from Zach Bryan

released: 25th August 2023 / 8th September 2023 (single)

when I saw this reached #1 on billboard I was skeptical cos a few shit country songs were chart toppers there. I listened tho and I’m so glad I did! With only 24 hrs of streams it debuted in my top 10 instantly shooting to the top the next week! I’m so happy this is becoming the biggest country crossover of the past few years as it’s an absolute tune! I love the music, the instrumentation, rverything! Such a deserved hit

There It Goes

5th Single from The Good Witch

released: 23rd June 2023 / 29th September 2023 (single)

There It Goes was originally one of my faves from the album, and after a cute video trend to the lyrics “I’m doing better I made it to September” I re-found my love for it! It wasn’t till Maisie dropped an absolutely beautiful acoustic version that it shot to become Maisie’s 10th #1 single!

greedy

1st Single from THINK LATER

released: 15th September 2023

greedy was an instant smash as soon as I heard the snippet! I was so happy Tate was going to continue her streak without a dud after a stunner debut album! She didn’t quite outdo herself with album 2 but that doesn’t change that it’s an incredible record!

Taylor Swift solo or feat. Ice Spice

Karma

3rd Single from Midnights

released: 21st October 2022 / 26th May 2023 (single + Ice Spice remix release)

Karma was an instant fave from Midnights, and it continued to dominate throughout the year, boosted by a single push and a video + remix from ice spice, which I unironically love!

You’re Losing Me (From the Vault)

Promotional Single from Midnights

released: 26th May 2023 (CD) / 29th November 2023 (streaming)

originally a cd exclusive song which pretty much confirmed and summarised the breakup with Joe, it had a solid chart run thanks to a sneaky voice note download I had of it! And then with a streaming release to celebrate Taylor becoming spotifys artist of the year it shot beck to the chart 6 months later, the biggest gaps between peaking at the top!

RAYE feat. Coi Leray

Flip A Switch.

6th Single from My 21st Century Blues

released: 3rd February 2023 / 21st April 2023 (single + Coi Leray Remix)

at first I was not a fan of flip a switch. It took a while but come April I had fully come to love it. They timed the remix with Coi leray perfectly as that gave it the boost to #1, becoming RAYE’s 4th chart topper in my charts! Coi really brings a breath of fresh air to the song and I love her addition! Now that. That is how a proper remix is done!

Cruel Summer

5th Single from Lover

released: 23rd August 2019/ 20th June 2023 (single)

Cruel Summer first charted at the beginning of the eras tour, before returning again as it gained popularity and officially charted, reaching its peak following a live version release right before 1989 tv! I’m so so happy one of my fave album tracks has got the recognition it deserves!

Body Better

1st Single from The Good Witch

released: 27th January 2023

Body Better was such a great choice for lead single. It was upbeat in style so represented the fun side of the album, but heartbreaking lyrically representing that part of the good witch! What a brilliant song from ms. Maisie!

RAYE feat. 070 Shake

Escapism.

3rd/4th Single from My 21st Century Blues

released: 12th October 2022

Songs like this are rare. I’ve been a fan of RAYE for years and so I had been following her career as an independent artist. Hence this entered as soon as it released. It got swept up by Midnights releasing but once I returned to it and appreciated it it shot up my charts, at the same time also blowing up in what wS absolutely amazing to see for RAYE after everything that had happened to her! Truly one of the greatest songs of all time!

3 songs left, but only one can be crowned winner. Who will be the song of the year?

It’s a 3 way battle between:

TAYLOR SWIFT VS MIMI WEBB VS MAISIE PETERS

I can see you vs red flags vs BSC
