I actually think it's hard to tell how big Houdini has been/is

from day 1, it was a bit of bad luck being released same day as Jack Harlow, otherwise it could have been an easy #1

but 1 week after release, Xmas invasion started so for the last month it's like the normal songs are on limbo, no one cares

so now in January we will know what kind of hit Houdini is,

if it's a huge hit, just a hit, an underwhelming hit, whatever

 

actually I'm more disappointed about the song quality than its performance

but it also depends on personal expectations, I was expecting a huge comeback single ala As It Was/Shape of You

which Houdini clearly is not...

I wouldn’t call Houdini a big hit, it debuted high due to hype but has only declined since and the reactions I’ve seen have been pretty lukewarm

So many new entries in the top 50 but shame most of them are deadwood
nothing from the expanded version of the Lewis Capaldi album made the top 200 :o

just shows no one cares, an expanded version of an album does not need NMF if you're a big star, NMF has a 1-day effect anyway

 

the one that is sadly out of the top 200 on both Spotify and Apple is Troye Sivan with One of Your Girls, really thought it was gonna explode in January :/
