Happy New Club Bizarre Year, it's my pleasure to host the 26th edition of Club Bizarre, after I won the Techno and Artistic/Experimental Electronica edition with the banger Romantika by German act Brutalismus 3000. It's only six contests ago that we last had the opportunity to host - that time we presented Dark, which was a fantastic edition, but this time we have selected something that will probably be a little lighter - depending on your interpretation of course. Welcome to Club Bizarre Vol.26: Piano!

The theme is fairly self explanatory: your entry needs to be a dance song that features a piano, or similar instruments such as harpsichords, organs, or keyboards, in its production. (Additional qualifer from Dan: it can't use obviously computer generated synthesisers, it's got to at least sound like a human is playing an instrument).

Think of some of the most famous dance songs of all-time and you'll find a prominent piano - Children by Robert Miles, Set You Free by N-Trance, Ride On Time by Black Box, Show Me Love by Robin S, Ecuador by Sash! - a lot of the 90s dance hits. In the 00s, Pjanoo by Eric Prydz (shockingly), The Way by Divine Inspiration, Listen To Your Heart by DHT. More recently, Miracle by Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding, Jazzy's Giving Me and the rest. You'll find piano and related instruments everywhere you look, particularly in house and trance but across numerous other dance genres too like Eurodance, chillout, rave, garage and Amapiano, so it shouldn't be too hard to find something, but it would be good for the sake of the theme if the piano is quite prominent to the song's production, and not hidden away somewhere in a tiny part of the track.

There's going to be plenty of songs to choose from here but the dance forum mods (Danuary and awardinary) will still be on hand to check that the entry does fit the theme (if they feel it doesn't, I will let you know and you can submit an alternative). And do please ask me if there are any questions or if you are unsure about anything.

Rules:

> Your entry must fall under the dance genre

> Do not send anything that is already popular, or has been very popular in the past - please avoid big chart hits, like all of the songs mentioned above, and cult classics

> Please avoid songs that have been sent to previous editions of Club Bizarre, BJSC, or Unknown Pleasures

> This contest is anonymous so please don't reveal your entry to anybody - I will announce who sent what during the results

> Please confirm your entry via PM to me (gooddelta), including the name of the artist, the song title, and a YouTube (or alternative audio) link

Confirmations will be open until Saturday 20th January at 23.59pm BST, so you have over a week to find a suitable entry, and the voting thread should open at some stage on Sunday 21st January. As there is currently a BJSC edition running simultaneously I do not want to overwhelm people so you will have until Thursday 8th February to vote (over two and a half weeks, and BJSC is due to finish on 28th January currently so plenty of time after that too). Results will then likely take place on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th February.

Everyone is welcome to join. Enjoy the search!

Aah my BSJC entry last year Early Bird would have been perfect for this! I'll have to get hunting for another gem.

I haven't actually selected one myself yet but have at least seven on my contest potentials playlist that would fit, plus might look through my old faves too.
Well this time round I've made sure to scour my YouTube playlist as well and submitted something that falls under this genre. I'll say it's a placeholder for now but I may end up sticking with it.

Pia-pia-piano pia-piano! A childhood disco fave!

I will definitely enter this Club Bizarre!

Actually kind of surprising we hadn't had this theme already!

Yeah, I thought that.

I gather the 'Classical and orchestral instruments' edition may have covered some similar ground but there's never been a theme dedicated solely to piano.

I'm a sucker for most piano dance and have had this theme up my sleeve for when/if I ever ended up winning again

This is like a spin-off to the classical edition I hosted, love it *.*

I don't immediately have something that comes to mind, but I'm sure I'll love most of these.

I have a couple of tracks in mind for this but I don't want to rush into sending something. I'm also going to enjoy being back in the position of literally not knowing any of the tracks until voting goes up

I have finally submitted something myself!

Up to nine now...keep them coming please.

I have something but I feel it's more pop/something else-oriented than dance...

I'll keep looking for one I'm somewhat comfortable sending.

Edit: Submitted.

Before I send out begging PMs to last month's participants, a reminder that you have just over 48 hours to submit your piano masterpieces please!

We're up to 12 entries currently, would be nice to break 20 at least.
