'This Is Halloween' still being on SCR is quite puzzling. Was it being treated as a brand new song last year...? (I know it's a fool's errand to expect the OCC to stick to their own rules)

I think it's just been fortunate enough to avoid ACR for 52 weeks!

Now I might be totally wrong here, I've been known to be dumb, but as I've understood the rules, being 3 years after release only matters for the mechanism of how songs get reset off ACR. In the rules that I'm reading, the only time a song's age is mentioned is for an automatic reset. And if that's true, a song should forever be on SCR until it charts at least 9 weeks and declines in streams for 3 straight weeks

No that’s not true, there’s been songs that have gone to ACR after only 4 weeks on the chart due to being over 3 years old

Songs that are over 3 years old are on ACR by default whether or not they've ever charted, if they return to SCR past that mark (either automatically or manually) then I'm fairly certain, unless the rules were quietly changed very recently, they're supposed to jump straight to the 'back to ACR after 3 declines' phase rather than being given the 6 free weeks. As Maestro said there have definitely been songs that went back to ACR on week 5, Drake's 'Practice' comes to mind as a fairly recent example.

Ah, well then I give up lol. ACR is confusing

And Teddy Swims still there in SCR with The Door.

Damn, he's really gonna have a top 10 with that sh*t -____-

One good thing to come from the Christmas rush is helping this to ACR quicker

Who hit acr out off

Benson Boone ~ Pretty Slowly

Charli XCX ~ Apple

Charli XCX ~ 360

Crowded House ~ Don't Dream It's Over

Gracie Abrams ~ I Love You I'm Sorry

Gracie Abrams ~ Close To You

Ndotz ~ Embrace It

Dan's away at the moment so it'll have to wait but I Love You, I'm Sorry is confirmed for ACR as per the Music Week sales report.

Estimates:

Avoided ACR:

Pretty Slowly

Close to You

ACR:

360

I Love You, I'm Sorry

Embrace It

Don't Dream It's Over

Apple [i know it climbed 4 places officially but it was down ~100k week-on-week on Spotify]

Is Jimin's Who still on SCR? It fell 24 places despite climbing on sales, download and steaming charts.

‘I Live You, I’m Sorry’ is one of those songs that took so long to climb it seems to have went to acr far too quickly.

all other charting songs not listed are either on ACR or have fewer than 7 charting weeks

Per Smeraldo's post above Jimin surely must have gone to ACR this week - he's much closer to 'Yellow' than to 'Prada'/'Story Of My Life' comparing to other songs around the same level on this week's streaming chart (lol at the reference point of SCR songs being two very old songs that are currently reset). Think he just had a relatively small drop overall this week because the move to ACR is covered up a bit by him having a substantial rise in streams this week for some reason (up 62-49 on the streaming chart).

'Hot To Go!' is indeed hot to go off to ACR at long last (but not without having climbed to #4 despite of its terminal decline).

With Linkin Park's album out today they should be safe from DCL-3 next week.

At what point does stuff going to ACR start getting an instant reprieve in January? Start of December?

In which case if it’s not on DCL1 or worse currently it’s safe

'HOT TO GO!' must be the first song to go to ACR after climbing on all 3 of its weeks of decline within the Top 40, and possibly within the entire chart.

Start of December usually - Disturbed could be around for a while next year then!
