I’d assume it should be a song that’s already been a hit that the movie producers feel makes sense to include it, it’ll have to be catchy I guess, etc. It will have the opportunity to be heard by new audiences and/or crack new markets (Sophie is looking to her first usa top 40 hit) and/or out-peak its original position in existing ones. I go with Spinning Around; it still sounds current enough and was a sizeable hit, still loved by fans, etc. Others that come to mind are OANLT and maybe All the lovers

February 5, 20241 yr I think to truly "do a Murder on the Dancefloor" the song choice would be one that was already a big hit and remains pretty well known. So probably one of her singles that hit the Top 3 in the UK. Like Love at First Sight, All the Lovers!
