I think it was mentioned in another thread that his tour is for smaller venues so that might mean it doesn’t have quite the same effect as Harry or Coldplay doing massive stadium tours.

They're arenas, so still pretty big venues. Dave, Sam Fender & The 1975 had decent boosts from their arena tours, although I think they all did more UK shows than Noah.

 

Speaking of though, The 1975's tour starts tonight - including 4 sold-out nights at the O2!

Well here's hoping Noah Kahan can avoid ACR for as long as possible otherwise it looks like Benson Boone could be the next #1 by default which we could really do without.

Benson has been on a consistent increase it’s just not linear, the occasional days where it drops, who knows why, maybe it’s not on peoples playlists yet, maybe it’s a mood type of song, who knows.

Benson's had small dips in the US and global charts too so perhaps some element of autoplay in there, it's not an enormous drop though. Autoplay boosts usually occur over about a week I'm sure, and it was already climbing very strongly before that. UK-wise it can't be helping that it's not quite as high on HHUK as the songs surrounding it in the Spotify chart, so hopefully it gets moved up soon.

Kylie & Sia number 5 on NMF Australia and also added to Hot Hits Australia, so there is one country it should do ok in this week!!

they are days of the week when all dance songs climb/non-dance song drop, and the other way around

but usually Tue-Wed-Thu, songs are quite stable, and a huge drop like Benson is not normal unless there's bots/autopayola involved, as we see all the time

Where's this "huge drop" you keep banging on about? You do like to exaggerate certain situations, don't you?

 

(Oh and I ain't a Benson fan - so I'm not a blind stan coming to his defence. The song and his voice goes right through me)

Let's also not forget that "blind stans" can offer insight as they track individual songs more closely!

 

Benson dipping today is against his recent upward trend but it's not that drastic, especially when it's still as high as #4 (and #1 in the US and globally). If it drops more tomorrow then it evidently was an autoplay boost, time will tell but let's not make this more dramatic than it is.

I feel as though these random songs getting so high on Amazon are due to some sort of Amazon autoplay. Similar to autoplay on spotify for songs. But because the streaming on Amazon is much less in general, it means songs that get selected for autoplay end up getting much higher in the chart than those on spotify.

 

Just my theory as to why we frequently see random songs high up on the Amazon chart.
