Welcome to Week 3 of these polls! :angel-old:

Results from Week 2

With 8 votes, Dusty Springfield - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself was the convincing winner of the best song poll, 3 ahead of second place.

There is currently a 4-way tie in the worst song poll with all those songs on just 3 votes - maybe it'll be broken by next week, but the worst polls are just meant to be a bit of fun really (though I'd have put Cliff in the lead if it had been one of his other songs in the poll).

Best poll winners

week 1: Danny And The Juniors - At The Hop

week 2: Dusty Springfield - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself

An easy vote to The Supremes with possibly my favourite #3 of all time, although I had to give the Otis classic a vote too.

I was tempted to vote for all the worst poll options, but the prophecy of the Engelbert song title seals it for me.

Voted for my top three this week:

Ike And Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze

Otis Redding - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay

Then for worst I chose Ken Dodd but all were varying shades of boring x

Voted for my top 6:

Animals

Supremes

Ike and Tina

Otis

Stevie

Jethro

Ken Dodd and Donald Peers for worst - Ken’s tracks really are a slog to listen to and the Peers one commits the added crime of desecrating a classical piece.

Don't Let Me Be Understood (probably my favourite song I didn't already know on this poll), Eve of Destruction, River Deep Mountain High, You Can't Hurry Love, Purple Haze & Dock of the Bay for best.

Genuinely cannot distinguish any of the worst ones, just one big blob of blandness. Ken Dodd gets my vote for starting it all off x

Quite straightforward picks for me this week - Otis Redding, Barry McGuire and Jimi Hendrix Experience are easily my top 3 of the best list and given my worst vote to Solomon King, aside from being a complete snoozer it's a little uncomfortably over-possessive x (I don't mind the odd 'she's mine' line in a song but the point was being laboured far too much on this occasion).

Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Monday, Monday, Purple Haze, Itchycoo Park and (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay for the best.

I just wasted my vote in the worst poll by voting all because they all sounded like the same indistinguishable dirge lmao.
