For some inexplicable reason Beyonce has a writing credit on the Blackbird cover.

She doesn't have a writing credit on the Jolene cover.

Could you elaborate on where you are seeing this because I can't see anywhere obvious stating she is a credited writer, she only has a production credit as far as I can see.

I would say that in this case, it's most likely that the author of the article has simply made an accidental mistake by listing her as a co-writer on the song. I think we can all tell that she hasn't changed anything lyrically in comparison to the original and most platforms aren't reporting her as a co-writer e.g. genius, Spotify, Apple etc.

It's not really a country album tbh. The "vibe" and imagery lean towards country tradition but it's very genreless.
Ngl the more I listen to the album, the more I see this vision

It starts off being traditionally country and despite keeping that concept, it gets progressively more crossover pop before sliding back into traditional folk/country again. Bodyguard is giving Speak Now TV Vault track in the best way

My CD arrived yesterday. The four missing tracks issue is definitely annoying, as is the fact it was clearly called Beyincé. I wonder if they'll repress it with the other songs and updated cover art at some point.
I’m assuming with the delay with it going into stores maybe the ones released on the 12th will have the updated track list and names? I got a cd just cos I think it’s quite cool to have it with the different name and track list, hopefully there’ll be complete ones too so I can grab one of those!
Ooh I’m just listening to the cd now and Jolene sounds different! There’s a prominent male voice in the cd version that doesn’t seem to be there on Spotify! Maybe it’s just blended into the choir more on streaming!

She gets the writing credit for changing Blackbird to BLACKBIIRD

It took a while for the album to hit me but gosh it is so good. I really enjoyed the experimental tracks on CC the most like Spaghettii, Tyrant, Bodyguard, Ya Ya, Sweet Honey Buckiin' to name a few. Although I enjoy RENAISSANCE more as a whole, this album is very good.

It is a bit weird that it wipes out the Linda Martell contributions. I was 50/50 on buying it but now I think I'll definitely pass tbh, the digital version is fine for me

I did eventually get a vinyl version this week after I realised that she had released the complete album in a deluxe set like Renaissance had

Very happy with it on the whole and very glad I didn’t go for one of the early colour variants as this is a much stronger and well made package

Also still bemused as to how the world let Bodyguard pass it by without becoming a hit

Gutted Bodyguard was never a single, I love it!
I'm confused, what's the video in aid of? Is Bodyguard being pushed as a single?

A cross between a rather late to be posted Halloween costume and a video encouraging people to vote in the US election!

(Beyoncé will really do anything bar release an actual music video x)

Which is quite funny given for a good period of time she was pumping out music videos.

Lowkey here to see Beyonce lose at the Grammys next year just for the "thank you Beyonce" speeches.
