Can only think of Kenny Rogers - Coward of the county as a proper strictly speaking country song

Noah is anything but country

Beyonce still have a 100K lead over benson also today, I think it's safe to say it's an easy number 1 for her, well done!

Spotify

Noah 671K

Beyonce 501K

Benson 407K

Dua-Training Season down to #14 with 220K

Djo keeps big climbing now up to #23

Calvin/Rag huge drop to #112

the new version of the Ariana song with Mariah already gone from the top 200

Edited by Bjork

100% gonna be Texas hold'em this week

doing 500K is incredible for her

and again just like Cuff it, there is a dance routine on Tiktok, that matters more than any playlist support these days :D

Beyoncé having her first solo #1 in the UK since If I Were A Boy with a country song was not on my 2024 bingo card but all credit to her.

Could djo make the top 20 officially this week? I am seeing it all over tiktok and it keeps growing in stream

Looks like it is flop season.

Beyonce having a country song go to #1 is so random. Feels so odd this is the song of hers from the last decade to truly catch on. I guess she is a little lucky stick season has gone to ACR but still.

Cruel summer even getting a boost from Australian tour , will it still be lingering once the tour hits the UK

I can definitely see why this Beyoncé track is catching on. Not usually huge on her actual material itself but i instantly liked this so if it was to be her first number one since 2010 I wouldn’t be too mad!

Your comments seem to ignore the impact of ‘good will’ for these new releases, which I think is definitely much more important in getting songs the quickest hit potential than a lot of people think

Beyoncé built up a LOT of ‘good will’ last era… after not having a big chart hit in years she came back with BMS and Cuff It, and the magnitude of the tour, and the way it was all over social media definitely felt like a massive moment in her already immense career.

Dua, on the other hand, had a lot of ‘good will’ coming off the back of Barbie, and although ‘Houdini’ didn’t do badly, it wasn’t the huge era starting single people were expecting, and therefore has probably meant that less people are going to check out ‘Training Season’ immediately. It doesn’t mean it is an instant flop, it doesn’t even really reflect the quality of the song. It’s just going to take a little longer to reach people as the same amount of immediate ‘good will’ isn’t quite there as it was a few months back.

That Muni Long song MUST become a hit. It’s gorgeous!

I'm not a huge Beyonce fan but she had a good era with Renaissance and looks to be following up with an era that will be just as big.

It's great seeing the older acts having chart success in the singles chart as for a long period it looked almost unmanageable for them.

Not to mention how the equivalent single last era, Physical, didn't reach the top 10 until week 6...!!!

It’s great to see a traditional R&B song translating so well over here. Definitely agree with you that Made For Me is amazing. The Chorus is lush
