Well yay that we did get the other shoegaze entry through at least (it was the less good of the two imo but still a fan) + a very good retro pick from Bronzil too.

Lookylion probably the most surprising DNQ for me so far, not a massive fave for me but did grow on me on second listen (ranked it 14th in the semi) and I do think it sounds like a qualifier oops!

Huge congrats! :cheer: We now have the following 3 iconic countries! Herbilore is the other debuting nation this edition. Will they go far? Land of DW and The Spodic Empire both would like to assert their dominance in this contest. How will they fare?

That gif reveal felt like it took as long as the break :drama: yay though!

omg this x

Hooray thank you all though :cheer: I wasn't sure what to expect with half and half predictions. Semi 1 didn't have a whole lot that sounded like obvious hits so I feel quite a few surprises could happen.

I enjoyed Lookylion's one though it just missed my votes, hooray for POPHub and Aelandor x

Oooooh here we go. Would be good to qualify but I'll take some points at least

Aww Jupiterdonia - sadly another victim of being in the stronger semi so it didn't quite get points from me but it would have been in my top 10 of the opposite semi, enjoyed it much more than I expected from Jupiter teasing a country entry (although I'm not sure I'd have placed it as being a country song anyway without seeing that post tbf).

Really churning through the semi 2 songs quickly - I'd love to see Land of DW through but with so few places left I'm not sure I see it.

Moving on, we have these three countries. East Rukahavian received quite some hype from the audience, but is it enough to send them through? Altyr Muunilinst is another song that sounded very big in the performance. Harmonica is also another favourite. Let's find out soon!

Baby Lasagna is also coming up so we will be watching this before I announce the next set hehe x

Damn. I am not surprised. I knew it was a risk sending a ballad....
Me not qualifying feels slightly homophobic! I’d be mad if my semi wasn’t so strong!

I thought it was pleasant enough but ballads are rarely a success sadly.

Ooops the triple elim. Land of DW was my 4 pointer and The Spodic Empire was another one that felt like it should have got points but just missed out (13th). And no debut qualifiers this time, better luck next month both of you x 'Selene' was quite a striking song and quite different for BJSC but I was wondering if it may struggle to find an audience, intrigued to see how many points it did manage to get (I ranked it just short of my top 10 of semi 1). I guess 'Ruined' last contest was not wildly different sonically but then it had female vocals which helps :kink:
oof. Was half-expecting my 3 pointer from The Spodic Empire to struggle, but very sad to see Herbilore drop out of semi 1, one of my faves there for sure :nocheer:

I’m losing lots of my votes this contest, I felt sure The Spodic Empire would make it, even more so than my own entry. :nocheer:

Herbilore, thank you for bringing us a new discovery this month, sorry I couldn’t vote for you due to being in the other semi final. :(

Lol I can't say I won't try again!
