  • currently experiencing Brat via iPod classic and it feels so correct

  • The album has returned to #1 in Ireland following Charli's summer festival gigs

FINALLY found time to listen to this after a busy weekend and MY, was it worth the wait. What a rush of a first listen that keeps you engaged from start to finish. 365 is an ender was so perfect, but along the way, there were so many different emotions wrapped up in this gritty, intense dance production which feel quintessentially Charli.

I say it all the time but Charli just gets it. Cremey summed it up perfectly that this is a great follow up to Crash in it having some mainstream moments but it brings us back to what we’ve loved about Charli prior to that and her AG Cook/hyper pop/left of field spin on pop. It tows that line spectacularly and feels like such a well executed vision.

‘Sympathy is a knife’ is one of the best songs of the year for me <3

easily her creative peak <3 and that’s saying a lot when ‘Pop 2’ and ‘how i’m feeling now’ exist x

This has become a rare recipient of a 10/10 from Anthony Fantano, the first one in 3 years and only the 8th ever :cheeseblock: (arguably the first pop album ever to get one, unless you count Spellling).

Had a listen to it a couple of days ago and it is another really good album from her, a big improvement on 'CRASH' for me although I don't think I like it quite as much as 'how i'm feeling now', it still has a few songs that I can take or leave. I think 'B2b' and 'Sympathy is a knife' are both up there with her very best songs ever, 'Von dutch' is still a megabanger too and also really loving '365', 'Everything is romantic' and 'So I'

(not checked out the 3 bonus songs yet as they rudely didn't drop until a few hours after I listened to the original album lol)

This album SERVES.

A full-on album packed full of dance bangers is exactly what we've needed from Charli for years now.... The writing is great, especially on really emotional and confessional tracks like 'So I' The beauty of this album for me is the concept of letting go and simply enjoying life. One of the best albums of the year for sure...

Also, getting that 10 from Fantano is maybe the most coveted award on the planet, iconic :cheeseblock:

The sticker on the front of the vinyl, is it an easy peel? I want to open it but don’t want to ruin the cover!! :kink:
im loving this album a lot, sympathy is a knife is my faveeeee! grabbed a ticket right at the back row of the O2 as they were the cheapest and i feel like even back there i'll have a blast (plus none of my friends like charli so id feel awkward on the floor lmao, here i can have fun in my own little bubble on my own, also im not big enough of a fan to be closer tbh)
also im so happy she has rebranded the XCX to xcx, the lowecase looks so much better imo

Don't agree at all, but if it's here to stay I'll probably get used to it in time

Excellent album, I feel like with Crash she went further into more commercial and it was still a great album but didn’t quite have that Charli spark, it felt like anyone could release it really, whereas this is a really good mix of that and the more experimental clubby side that feels very Charli and it’s Charli at her best. So glad it’s had such success and acclaim!
