Kylie has done a couple of features since joining BMG which have appeared on her albums (I'm assuming Dance Alone will be on the new version of Tension)

But from the 5 tracks which is your fave and least fave?

I just listened to CDWSAY again - another KM track I don’t get the hate for, I mean I wouldn’t seek it out to listen to all the time but it’s not that bad.
Apart from Dance Alone and the divine Musics Too Sad Without You the others are below average.

Chose ASTM but easily could have picked MTSWY or Dance Alone.

I like CSWSAY but it’s my least fave now. Prefer KOL.

A Second to Midnight is my favourite here.

Dance Alone is my least fave. I don’t mind it... I’d probably prefer it as a Kylie solo.

I think CSWSAY is pleasant/fine! I’ll join ___∆___ in not hearing what is reprehensible about it.

It has a wildly annoying chorus that just repeats the title over and over, it sounds shoddily put together and there's no chemistry between the two artists, no discernible melody, plodding and a chore to get through, cheap sounding and I don't get how it was even deemed good enough to make the cut let alone be pushed as a single and end the campaign on such a wimper.

As an aside, I do have a bit of hatred towards Gloria Gaynor so that's another mark against it.

Fun fact: “I just can’t stop writing songs about you” is repeated less times in that song, than “I just can’t get you out of my head” is repeated in CGYOOMH. :kink:

I agree that it was too weak to be pushed as a single especially when the main album itself had so many songs that were far far stronger.

She should have recorded a track with Sophie Ellis-Bextor instead of Gloria Gaynor. I mean, she was the kitchen disco Queen at that point and had already recently supported Kylie on tour - it makes perfect sense!

Features and collaborations in general are not Kylie's strong point.

Some have been good but some are very underwhelming.

This tbh! Aside from the classics in the early days many have been meh.

My scores out of 10:

1. 8.5 - A Second to Midnight

2. 7.5 - Kiss of Life

3. 6 - Music’s Too Sad Without You

4. 5 - Can’t Stop Writing Songs About You

5. 5 - Dance Alone

I’d say A Second to Midnight is great, Kiss of Life is good, MTSWY is ok, and the other two are fine/average.

(That’s Kylie elevating Dance Alone to a 5 for me, and I dare say I’d prefer it if it was just her… however if it was only Sia, it probably would have been a “one play and done” scenario)
