Well you had your say on Buzzjack's Favourite Female and male Solo act and decided that Madonna and Michael Jackson were the victors- Now it's time for the groups! So what’s the criteria? As this is the UK Charts section there are some proviso’s around who can be nominated 1) The act in question must have had at least one Top 40 single in the UK 2) That credit may have been a feature 3) To avoid confusion on credits I will treat polyhex.com as the bible 5) By top 40 single I refer to the main UK singles chart not the sales chart or any other alternative chart. 6) Duo's are fine to include provided they were actually a group and not just a collaboration for example Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. They clearly weren't a duo but a duet, if you follow. 7) I reserve the right to discard any votes which are submitted for the troll value How do I Vote? Simples. Just PM me with your votes before 23.00 on Friday 14th June 2024 with your top 30 list of your groups. Scoring: The act you place at No 1 on your list will receive 30 points, No 2 will get 29 points and so on until your 30th act gets 1 point. We then tally up your marks to give us the ultimate list! But I don’t like/ know 30 groups? Firstly what are you doing on Buzzjack? But if you really can’t then that’s fine just submit what you can BUT your No 1 will only get the number of points for the number of acts you enter- for example if your list has 23 groups on it then your No 1 gets 23 points etc. Feel free to use the thread to discuss/ stan for your fave’s but PLEASE DO NOT REVEAL YOUR SCORES FOR ANY ACT. May 18, 20241 yr I'm sure my #1 will be incredibly obvious but I'm going to have to give the rest of this a lot of thought! I took part last time but feel like I've done a lot of back catalogue exploration since so will have plenty of new entries to consider

May 20, 20241 yr Yeah there's quite a lot of more recent acts that don't qualify for these because of the way the chart is now compiled. Even acts as comparatively old as The National have never had a UK hit single because they have always been an albums band, but they can sell out stadiums in the UK. Not a grumble gezza, just an observation
May 20, 20241 yr Voted! Some reasonably big names that unfortunately missed out due to a lack of Top 40s: Fontaines D.C., Wet Leg, Pale Waves, Nothing But Thieves.
May 20, 20241 yr What’s the objectively biggest band not to have a top 40 hit in the UK do we think? Tame Impala instantly came to mind, but of course, it's only one guy ;)
