Losing two strong indie bands from the lower echelons of my points there. Pleased they both got two other voters (both different, slightly surprisingly) and did respectably.

Vampire Weekend easily my fave since I last posted, would have thought they'd get a few more voters than that (maybe easy to forget they ever had a top 40 single?)

Also generally approve of Kings Of Leon, The Go! Team, Elbow and Orbital, plus Mumford & Sons for their first two albums although they fell off a bit after that. And plenty more that I like the handful of songs I've heard from them again (Siouxsie And The Banshees and Ash stand out as ones I should probably know more from than I do).

Not the Doors and the Police falling out already. :( Faves from each have to be Riders On The Storm and Roxanne.
THAT Riders on the Storm? Ooooh TIL something. really loving the 2004 remix by Snoop Dogg and Fredwreck as the soundtrack of Need for Speed: Underground 2! :music:

Santana and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park also did a lovely cover of it:

VW would’ve got big points from me, but I didn’t realise that they scraped the Top 40 a couple of times!

Bwitched, Boyzone, Boney M, Veronica’s, The Police - all really good just not enough to be in my personal top 30

Bloc Party are an excellent shout and would definitely have got points from me if I'd charted anything by them.

Ash had many great singles back in the day, 'Goldfinger' and 'Oh Yeah' perhaps my favourites, though last year's 'Race The Night' is up there with the best of them too.

Wonder if New Order are still to come?

That would be disappointing...

Not bad versions but this will take some beating for me:

Some good names dropping out over the last couple of days, I love The Doors’ eponymous album, Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Vampire Weekend’s latest album is my second favourite of the year so far, only behind Billie Eilish.
