May 31, 20242 yr Author We all knew there'd be a big clearout and lots of new adds this week, but it's still exciting to see 13 new tracks make it onto the playlist in one week, 6 of them on the A/B lists :dance: My only surprise is Becky Hill and Myles Smith going straight to B-list ahead of Rag'n'Bone Man and Tommy Richman! I guess we can give up hope now of David Guetta/OneRepublic being playlisted.

May 31, 20242 yr A bit confusing when Outside Of Love is on Radio 2, Right Here is on Radio 1 and True Colours supposedly confirmed as a single last week when it was released :kink: That aside, yay for Fred again.., Sonny Fodera and Tommy Richman. I hope Wilkinson doesn't stay stuck on the C List.

June 4, 20242 yr Radio 1 don't seem very enthusiastic about playing Eminem so far, and they cut it off halfway through during First Look. Radio 2 going for the fortysomethings but it's possibly too edgy for them. Someone's going to have to play it, it's the biggest song in the country right now! What do you think the outcome will be? It's looking like this year's Padam Padam in any case. He's 51 and has made the most entertaining song of the year if you ask me (I know some people around here have issues with the lyrics but he's trolled people since day #1 when I was 16 and I'm 41 now. Always saw it as him playing a cartoon villian rather than genuinely being a knobhead and this is rather tame by his standards. You wouldn't take the total bast*rds out of your favourite films!). They may not have had a proper edit done for the radio in time to play on the First Look. Think we'll have to wait and see, but they were still supporting Eminem during his previous era. June 4, 20242 yr Author Was 'Godzilla' A listed @ Mango? No, it was only B-listed. His last A-lister was 'River' which was 3 singles previous to 'Godzilla'. I can't see the new one being A-listed, even if it does make it onto the playlist.

The lyrics are obviously questionable, particularly in this woke day and age, and I don't condone them, but that's just his modus operandi. No one calls out other rappers for lyrically assaulting each other during their silly little spats of beef, and I see this as an extension to that, only Eminem doesn't actually mean it, it's just a character he's playing.
