Feels like the tournament is flying by. There's a couple of rest days coming up on Thursday & Friday, when that happens you know the tournament is getting towards the latter stages.

Yeh alsways a bit sad but this is where the business end starts!

I wonder what it would take for someone to get a red card. Feels like a lot of yellows.

Probably full on aggression. I can see it happening in the more high-stakes matches.

Another tackle like Porteous in the first game would certainly be a good way to go about it.

I can’t get my head around how to figure out who England will play in the last 16 no matter how much I read up about it 🤣

Either the Netherlands as Group D third place or any of the 4 teams in group E that are all tied on 3 points (Romania, Belgium, Slovakia or Ukraine).

I'm not sure how you actually figure out the other groups don't come into play but that's the answer.

Would love a tie against Romania, I feel like our only hope for getting some chemistry and confidence in the side is a good 3 goal victory.

Did you watch Romania v Ukraine? They wouldn't be a guaranteed 3-0 victory. Far from it, even if Belgium did beat them 2-0.

I did. think the way they set up would allow us into their final third a lot more than Slovenia and Serbia did.

would be chuffed if Foden’s absence allowed Gordon to get more minutes (hopefully alongside Palmer) for the last 16 game.
For those interested in this stuff:

Home Nations Overnight Viewing Figures

Scotland v Germany - 6m (10.4m Peak, 9.1m Match Average)

England v Serbia - 10.5m (15m Peak, 14.2m Match Average)

Scotland v Switzerland - 7m (9.4m Peak, 8.6m Match Average)

England v Denmark - - (13.1m Peak, 11.2m Match Average)

Scotland v Hungary - 6.7m (10m Peak, 8.4m Match Average)

England v Slovenia - 9.2m (15.4m Peak, 14.5m match average)

Next Home Nations game is Scotland v Hungary on 8pm Tuesday which should rate well with the Scots looking to get out of the group. The next England game is at 8pm on a Tuesday night and obviously has more riding on it so should get the best ratings of the tournament so far.

Updated available viewing figures for all home nation matches. England v Slovenia comfortably the most watched so far - although no doubt that will change by Sunday.

England have Slovakia then Italy then probably Holland then winner of the other side of the draw. It’s a fairly kind draw really

Wow, that first half is brutal, Spain and Germany potentially only being the Quarter Final :o (and potentially a France/Portugal rematch as well!)

Certainly a generous draw for England, we could easily scrape our way to the final there, but any of those teams can knock us out the way we've been playing, definitely need to step it up now.

This could be the first Euros where no team got 0 points in the group stage, a sign of a generally open group stage. The team that makes it to the final from the 1st half of the bracket will deserve to win Euro 2024 imo for the absolute hell they're gonna have to go through to get there.

Italy Switzerland will be interesting but to ink you could be right the big teams normally win out!
