The 'Good Luck, Babe' thread is getting quite a few comments about this album and it's current performance in the UK charts. So I think we should have a thread here for her (fantastic) debut album, which reached the UK top 40 for the first time, today (#34)!

HOT TO GO!

Serious question...

The GRAMMYs eligibility period is September 16th 2023 - 30th August 2024. This was released September 23rd 2023. Do we think it stands a chance of being nominated? Surely Pop Vocal Album nomination at the very least? But I wouldn't rule it out for Album of the Year contention. I just think it's the kind of pop that GRAMMY voters would appreciate.

I think she could stand a good chance actually.

I'm hope this continues and she breaks out! I love her whole concept.

Totally agree Roba.

It absoltuely deserves an Album Of The Year nomination so hopefully it gets something! It’s had such an impact for a debut album, it’s been a while for me since a debut has hit me so hard and an artist has come out for h the gate this strongly with such a unique sense of who they are.

 73. Chappell Roan - HOT TO GO!

 88. Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova

Big climbs for the Chappell Roan tracks

Both coming for top 40? :o

'Red Wine Supernova' was the biggest gainer of the day (moves up 84 places!)

EDIT: Gaining in the US too.

'Red Wine Supernova' up to #39 & 'HOT TO GO!' up to #48. (With 'Casual' re-entering at #196)

Oh yea for sure this is definitely one of the best albums of the year, probably one of the best debuts. She's well and truly the future of pop, I can't get enough of her

In the US 'Casual' is up to #187 and 'Pink Pony Club' is a new entry at #185! ('Good Luck, Babe' down 1 to #12; 'Red Wine Supernova' is a non-mover and 'HOT TO GO!' is up 1 place to a new peak of #47)

The album was actually released last year, but otherwise agree.

The way she’s blown up is insane, I’ve just seen on TikTok resale tickets are going for £200 when I got them just a couple of months ago for £30!! I suppose that’s also just indicative of awful ticket practices in this country

The album is currently up to a new peak of 18 in the midweeks today! So it should rightfully get a top 20 peak at the very least (I do think Top 10 in the coming weeks!)

It's a shame Graham Norton isn't airing right now as she is the PERFECT kind of guest for that show. </3

Great to see it top 20 and all going well it will get top 10 at some point, i agree that she would be perfect for Graham Norton show,
It’s so refreshing to see something actually rising on the charts
