Totally this - to me, it sounds like it could/should be a hit (or certainly make the charts at the very least!).

 

But I guess with no promo, neither artist being streaming powerhouses and no video etc., is massively going against it.

Unless impact date is the week leading up to her Hyde Park concert.

 

Doubtful though. It's still doing well for them both

The 4 week Streaming cycle is Friday 5th July so Midnight Ride streams will start to reduce on her Spotify numbers unless she has a new release to combat it. If we get no remixes next Friday then I guess we won't get any and she may well release her own song ahead of her London gig and maybe announce Tension repackage pre orders

Yeah, Tension feels done months ago to me at this point. Obviously I'm here for anything new in whatever form it comes, but I think I'd just prefer a clean slate at this stage.

 

Plus if it can go gold of its own accord without the need of a re-release that'd be nice.

I agree about tension, its time to move on, it will make gold without a re release so a new era would be great with kylie fully on board for promo.

Probably, it's a nice release to bridge the gap until her next big release which is hopefully soon.

This is its 4th week.

 

I think maybe one more week to cover her gig in London.

 

Its kind of hanging around but it needs a momentum boost streaming wise and it's not looking like it will get it

Can't see that happening unless we are in for a major surprise.

That’s brilliant! I hadn’t checked out the chart yet. It’s not a big hit, but to spend four weeks in that chart means it does have its support. I did like ‘Dance Alone’ but it really only got support on Amazon.

Midnight Ride grew off me in the end, after the initial shiny newness wore off. I've played it a handful of times but I only find it to be ok. I'll say that Kylie's vocals are very nicely produced on the song!
