I think this thread - https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/274208-itunes-streaming-youtube - could be more appropriate for Can't Get You Out of My Head chart updates, than in here. This documentary

  • The song ‘story’ will take on a new meaning after this…

Finished watching, f*** episode 3 was emotional! Story to become a massive hit!

It’s really no wonder she kept her second cancer diagnosis a secret when you see just how intrusive the media were the first time around. I’m glad she was able to deal with it on her own terms in private.

Loved that the Impossible Princess angry Kylie moment was included! 😂 Also the Your Disco Needs You note getting its moment.

My aim is to sit down and binge watch Saturday night so I can sit and relax to watch it. I know il see loads of snippets by then but I'm fine with that.

About to sign up to Netflix…is it worth the extra to sign up to the 4k option?

Just finished all 3 episodes

My god episode 3 really got me full on crying!

She is just incredible and this has made me even more obsessed than ever !

I just watched episode 1, she really is such an icon it's fascinating to watch the background clips and see her back then. I've obviously watched Kylie's music videos and songs etc but to see her at the time in the 80s is a bit surreal for me.

I did find it a bit weird that they pretty much ignored that she had a big #1 single in Australia 6 months before she released ISBSL, they very much made it sound like she had never recorded anything and then went to London to record and release her first ever single and it went from there...? A bit strange really.

I did love the bit where they showed the radio announcement that Tiffany was #1 and Kylie was racing to the slot I shouted out "I WAS BEING BORN THEN!" as I was born the week Tiffany was #1 and the following day Kylie got the top spot! 😂

True, it did seem like they were about to address it at one point after the ‘Lucky’ section but then nothing.

Locomotion really didnt get a mention did it lol

I thought the Fever era wasn’t explored as much as it could have been. They obviously acknowledged ‘Head’ but I’d like to have known more about Kylie’s thoughts on how much of a mega smash it was. Like it being #1 in 40 countries and selling 300k+ in a week in the UK, what was that release week like etc.

Only minor criticisms really because I loved so much about this documentary and I think Kylie opened up so much more than we might have expected. I guess I’m looking at it as a big fan and they have to consider a wider audience and the overall narrative they were wanting to tell.

Yeah, I mean there's a lot they didn't include, but I think there would have to have been about 10 episodes to really capture everything! Watched all 3 episodes back to back though and it's so so good!! The nostalgia in episode 1 was unreal, that really took me back. Obviously a very emotional third episode. I'll never hear 'Flower' or 'Story' the same way again, had no idea about the stories behind those two songs, both were big heartbreaking OMG moments for me!

Episode 1 conquered, gonna do one more before bed but leave episode 3 for tomorrow as I know it's gonna be overwhelming.

Yeah you won’t be able to sleep straight away if you watch the third! 😂 it’s also an hour and a half I think.

Watched the first 2. 1 was very nostalgic.

Saving 3 for tomorrow!!!

There is a lot in this documentary that gets barely touched on or glossed over in terms of her career, but I guess it's more about her human experiences and showing a side that we haven't really seen before - I can see how that's probably more interesting to a casual audience than a deep dive into each era.

It definitely speaks a lot about her character and also comes across a whole lot more genuine than some recent celebrity documentaries that are just PR puff pieces.

still got 3rd episode to watch, will keep until Friday

Yes its brilliant

maybe we could have had an extra episode to cover just chart facts/song productions etc lol for all us nerds and really boost her streaming figures and big up her achievements etc. This emotional documentary may not have the streaming affect it could have done, but i hope it does

Love Kylie chatting and opening up and Story up to 39 on UK Itunes ❤️
