2 halves for me. I love the top 3. I don't care about the bottom 3 as much as everyone else does.

01. Never Really Over - song of her career imo paired with a fantastic video ugh where’s this Katy?

Yeah her lead singles are pretty weak on the whole compared to her other singles. Only Never Really Over is the best of its era from that list.

Never Really Over I agree is unbeatable.

1. Never Really Over

2. Roar

3. I Kissed a Girl

4. Woman's World

5. Chained to the Rhythm

'Roar' may be really overplayed now, but it was undeniably a storming lead after the TD era... it's just a shame the rest of the era ended up being such a mess. She was lucky she had 'Dark Horse' up her sleeve!

Roar always struck me as an uber-safe lead single off the back of a huge era. I can’t deny it’s commercial appeal (the stats are right there ) but her music beforehand was a lot more spunky and playful. Roar is a bit washed of personality in comparison.

(Just my opinion of course)

1. Roar (pop perfection)

2. California Gurls

3. I Kissed a Girl

4. Never Really Over

5. Woman's World

6. Chained to the Rhythm

I agree she doesn't always peak with the lead though, so I'm still curious about the upcoming album. For me, "E.T." was the best single from TD, "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up In Vegas" are both better than IKAG, and "Swish Swish" is the single from Witness that I got behind.

California Gurls is her best lead for me. The imagery and everything is just so fun.

Tbh I've never liked that many of her leads though. Chained was a decent track but in retrospect an awful lead for Witness. Bon Appetit would have sold the album better, maybe with Chained as a standalone.

The single that peaked lower than what came after it? I've never got that into CTTR, but Bon Appetit is dreadful and what I believe was the beginning of the end for her.

This is already #12 on the airplay charts in the UK. What a waste.
What are Katy Perry's biggest peaks in the UK Airplay Chart? Does anyone know?
Dsrk Horse was #1 for four weeks snd top 10 for 17 weeks. Roar was #1 almost 8 weeks. Teenage Dream was top 3 for three weeks.

The first three are all great songs, the second three are pretty bad. Chained to the rhythm is one of the worst songs ever, I really cannot stand it.

1. Never Really Over (her best song for me - pop perfection and hugely underrated commercially)

2. Roar (a storming lead single, even if it owed a lot to Brave by poor should-not-be-a-one-hit-wonder Sara Bareilles)

3. California Gurls (always thought this was great, a fun lead even though it sounds throwaway compared to some of the album's other singles now)

4. I Kissed A Girl (She had better to come but it was a statement of a debut, although feels so dated now)

5. Chained To The Rhythm (a solid track - I would not have guessed what Witness sounded like based on this song though)

6. Woman's World (a major misfire)

#65 in Ireland apparently. I can only see the top 50 on the OCC website, but it's not there.
