He should fit into Arsenal’s style. Rice, Zubimendi, Merino is quite a good midfield tbh.

Southampton avoided being the worst prem team ever by getting a point against Man City who looked rubbish again now Haaland was back.

No goals or creativity in that midfield though.

Yeah they’ll still need a striker but zubimendi seems a big upgrade on partey to me

It sums up Man C's season that they are the ones to allow Southampton to avoid matching Derby's record. Let's hope that they continue to under=-achieve for many years to come, ideally in lower divisions after being punished for multiple breaches of the rules.

I haven't checked but I'm 99% sure Spurs will break the record for lowest finishing position despite having a positive goal difference (unless of course they get thrashed in their next 2 games).

It's like the reverse of Everton 2004-05 who finished 4th but with a negative goal difference.

Crazy situation where a guy was clearly offside but the new rules meant the linesman didn’t put his flag up and the striker had a big collision with the goalkeeper resulting in Forest playing with 10 men for injury time as they decided not to sub him and then used all their subs. This led to their owner having a bust up with the manager on the pitch. Now the player involved is in a coma

Only captains will be allowed to approach referees during Premier League matches from next season.

The top flight is set to adopt new guidelines - approved by the game's law-makers, the International Football Association Board (IFAB), in March - that state only one player from each team, usually the captain, is allowed the approach the match official.

Under the regulations, referees can instruct players not to approach them, and show yellow cards to those who do so without permission and behave in a disrespectful manner.

In the event that a team's captain is a goalkeeper, clubs will provide an alternative representative before kick-off.

Yeah, that will work until the first VAR decision.

Forest and Chelsea in a straight out shoot out for the Champions League then! Not sure a draw suits either..

No a draw will mean neither qualify as Villa are 100% winning against us on the final day.

Both teams have to go for the win.

Will be fun. You'd expect Newcastle to get the job done at home Everton. Guess the wildcard in all this will be City - massive if they drop points against Bournemouth!

West Ham and Nottingham Forest have both been charged for failing to control their players during the final minutes of their Premier League meeting on Sunday.

Forest won 2-1 at London Stadium to maintain their bid to qualify for next season's Champions League but there were unsavoury scenes deep into stoppage time, with both sets of players involved in a melee.

West Ham midfielders Edson Alvarez and Carlos Soler were booked, while Forest defenders Murillo and Morato were also shown yellow cards for their involvement.

The game lasted 112 minutes and 55 seconds because of a long period of stoppage time, including a lengthy delay to determine whether Nikola Milenkovic's winner was offside.

The Liverpool Palace game will be shown on free view (we’ll kind of) as it’s on at 3pm on sky showcase rather than sky sports premier league.

Well Forest completely blew it in the last 10 games. Really poor from them. Newcastle tried to blow it but Man Utd and VAR saved them
