Switzerland is good though, the rest of England's might be 'flukey' but this wasn't part of that plot. Well done to shake the 'pk doom' off. Great to see Saka redeem the 2021 letdown.

How did we fluke that penalty shootout?

distinctly average in 120 minutes (okay, our best performance so far but only slightly) but that shootout was superb. can imagine it will give the lads some real confidence - much more so than scraping past Slovakia or topping the group did.

Because we're still rubbish.

 

Thought the formation change suited us way better today, but another example where Southgate is reactive rather than proactibe within the 90 mintutes. Now, I've had a lot of beers but still, we scored a fluke from a Saka shot, otherwise I feel we'd have been going out. I think most people's issue with Southgate is we all can see & view problems watching, but he seems reluctant to make any change until we actually concede..

and anyway my other two cents is we just don't look coached at all. We're in the semis in spite of Southgate. We muddle our way through games with a lot of luck. At this point, we should just go along for the ride. Think playing the Dutch will be an interesting game.

No way will they be able to beat Switzerland, so expect them out at the semis! Still, far better thsn we ever thought they'd do.

International managers can’t coach players for the most! And Sakas goal was hardly a fluke, I thought you watched the premier league??

 

I didn’t know England could reach 3 semi finals in 4 tournaments and for it still to be lucky �� jeepers give him and the players some praise will you.
