I’m expecting Bye Bye Bye to be given a reset and if it does, I wonder if it will do a Murder On The Dancefloor?

Just seen Bye Bye Bye having a massive jump on Spotify. I wonder if OCC will grant it a reset come Friday?
Why has Bye Bye Bye suddenly increased? Dirty Pop documentary?

can Like a Prayer come back to the charts instead of N Sync :)
there doesn't seem to be any younger DJs who can get "moderate hits by default" these days anymore either, there used to be a few who'd reliably get hit after hit but now:

- the new Jax Jones & Joel Corry collab did absolutely nothing

- Sigala's comeback single did absolutely nothing

- Clean Bandit haven't put a (proper) single out for ages and their comeback is tagging Guetta as a feature to try and get some hype, who knows if that'll work

instead we've got just random faceless DJs lucking out on hits and then never being seen again it seems (well I'd be surprised if BL3SS, Adam Port or NewEra are ever seen again - Casso we've already seen his follow up single flop - Blessed Madonna's follow-up to Happier did nothing - Sonny Fodera perhaps could luck out another major hit at some point I guess?)

Seems to be only a few dance hits this year, and those few just through Tiktok (I'm guessing that's how BL3SS and Adam Port songs got popular) (the 1 2 3 4 5 wordplay on the BL3SS song chorus seems apt for Tiktok). The Adam Port one shows afro-house will maybe be a trend though. :)

I really liked the Cassö follow up so I am really disappointed by it not making the streaming charts.

Forever Young returning at #188, what a relief.

Thought you'd prefer the two Interactive happy hardcore (1996 and 2003) versions.

Yes Billie’s label managed to mobilise quickly for “What Was I Made For?” so I can’t see why they wouldn’t now. With the gap coming down naturally they should only need a few k extra.

If it does happen this summer in the chart is increasingly like last summer with low sales and songs maybe repeaking at the top due to physicals!

'Like A Prayer' is used in a huge way in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' too. It soundtracks

the climax, big fight scene & it's resolution!

I'm actually surprised it's not appeared yet. Hopefully it will though!

New on Apple:

181. Myles Smith - BIRDS OF A FEATHER

It’s an Apple exclusive unfortunately

Is it December already!!

Stick Season still doing 300j daily as we approach the new stick season soon!

A lot of Drake’s is due to features. He’s on a lot of other people’s albums so if you’re listening to anybody’s old album from future to even Camila cabello you’re giving drake’s boost in that chart. His popularity is at an all-time low. It’s undeniable.

I'll deny it, he has more monthly Spotify listeners than he did a year ago, or any time before that. Two-thirds of his streams are as a lead artist, which isn't especially out of the ordinary. Probably still true, but we need to see a new project to be sure. If his career was really over just because everyone started clowning on him, then that would've happened a decade ago I'd think.

(Dunno why I'm defending Drake but I keep seeing claims akin to him needing Camila's help to chart in 2024 and it just makes no sense to me, like have I missed the supposed Drake solo single before this one that didn't chart?)

I didn't realise Gordo was the same person as Carnage, thought it was just another randomer Drake granted a feature to. He produced several of the songs on 'Honestly, Nevermind' (including 'Massive' and 'Sticky') so has already sort of had some chart success. Finding it a little sus that 'Sideways' has debuted so high today after not appearing at all yesterday (even more stark in the US where it's gone in at #71), unless it was just a mistake that it didn't appear in the chart yesterday.

*NSYNC should definitely get reset this week yes.

the 1 2 3 4 5 wordplay on the BL3SS song chorus seems apt for Tiktok

only just clocked this play on words

Like a Prayer is also on the trailer, so very surprised it isn't doing much

on Apple:

11 Adam Port

16 Sonny Fodera - Somedays

31 Calvin / Ellie

171 NEW Myles Smith - BIRDS OF A FEATHER

the Amazon chart looks more bizarre than ever

4 Benson Boone tracks in the top 9 :o

plus James Bay,Noah Kahan at #6, Karty Perry at #20 and Kylie at #22

at least Jade is now showing at #14 on Amazon

Jade is sadly gone from the Youtube top 20 nows

Youtube views very low all along, Benson Boone still #1, think he's been #1 for months, interrupted but always returning to #1
