November 26, 2024Nov 26 I've read that Kojo dies. This'll be an interesting dynamic to explore with Cindy, Junior and George particularly if it's true. Edited November 26, 2024Nov 26 by lewis🎄green

November 27, 2024Nov 27 That article is a whole lot for reading for a whole lot of nothing. It's just typical tabloid speculation and nothing else
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Kojo doing a full flip off the railings at the slightest touch was so camp idc
November 27, 2024Nov 27 That spoiler could open up a few storylines but im not sure at the same time as he isnt in the show long enough for it to have any major impact.

November 28, 2024Nov 28 I wonder if there has ever been a wedding in Soapland where the couple have just got married, had a party and that's been it - no hospital rush, no arguments, so admission of infidelity. I thought the scenes of George and Elaine's wedding were great, and the party scenes were really good. The entertainment came from the women all getting drunk together, Priya coming on to Jack, Ravi and Denise, drunk Kathy. It didn't need someone rushing in to say someone is in hospital to make it entertaining to watch.

Not sure about EE off the top of my head but arguably the most famous soap wedding-Scott and Charlene in Neighbours-had pretty much no drama at all. I think there was a little feud going on between Des and Daphne and Mrs Mangel but that was par for the course and not related to the wedding at all.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 I think the scamming Jean story would be more effective if we hadn’t seen something like this happen to her before with Michael. Then again, it’s more realistic than Lauren randomly trusting Cindy.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 What i dont get it we had the slaters broke for so long and its literally the opposite with Jean now.

For me that wedding will never be topped, it was such a huge moment at the time, yes Des Daphne and Mrs Mangel had their tiff but the Mrs Mangel fights were more for comedy than Drama.
November 29, 2024Nov 29 Yes, you're right... The Scott and Charlene wedding was just a pretty perfect day for them. It would be good for a British soap to find a much-loved couple and wed them without drama one day. That in itself would be as eventful as anything else they could come up with to tarnish the day.
November 29, 2024Nov 29 Powerful scene with Jean and Stacey after Jean discovered she'd been scammed. Gillian is still such a star.

I agree, plus i think eastenders for example need to have couples that stay together, for a long time we had that with Mick and Linda with no affair etc, and then they ruined them with both cheating, i know couples need drama to make the characters exciting but it doesnt always have to be an affair they can face other challenges and survive as a couple. Look at Scott and Charlene still happy together almost 40 years on( although most of it off screen!!)
November 30, 2024Nov 30 EastEnders always breaks up their "together forever" couples and then they'll get back together further down the line but it's never the same, look at Kat and Alfie, Billy and Honey, Mick and Linda, Jack and Ronnie, Ian and Cindy even newer ones like Callum and Ben they always have to go the on again off again route which is pretty boring In saying that, I think now would be a great time to bring Shirley back and have her and Phil reunite, that was always the best pairing for him imo
