lol how on Earth did Harvey and Kathy not notice Cindy stood there bold as brass?

  • Look who reunited in real life this week! 😍 Apparently Shane Richie and Steve McFadden were there as well so a mini EE reunion in general.

Tonight's episode was fantastic. I was totally engaged all the way through, to the point I didn't even think I was watching people act. Uncomfortable viewing at times, but realistically so. I complete

Nobody does a soap drama like EastEnders at Christmas. Great first ep! *.*

Great first Christmas episode. So much drama and tension! LOVED IT!

Denise & Ravi are so hot together. Wow!

They really are! The chemistry they have.. :cheeseblock:

Wow, great ending, didn't see that coming, now we got a whodunnit situation, Ian, Lauren, George or Junior, my money is on Lauren.

Loved that second half!

Please let her be dead and the reveal be on the 40th anniversary!

I’m going to guess it was Gina but in dream world I’d love it to be Bobby again

The little nods to the past too like Ian smashing up the living room (reminiscent of Arthur doing exactly the same on Christmas 86) and Cindy collapsing under the tree (like Pauline Christmas 06)
I think it'll be who attacked Cindy and not who killed Cindy. Would be very surprised if they killed her off!
I’m going to guess it was Gina

That's another good shout out as she walked out of the Queen Vic pub, you could also throw Kathy into the mix as she threatened to kill her but I didn't see her leaving the house.

I’m not sure they would kill her off but they have pretty much dismantled every possible route she could have gone down and I don’t see how she could stay, though Ian will probably be a mug and take her back because of her being injured if she’s not dead

Not sure Cindy will be dead-it’s possible but they already did the return from the dead and then dead for real 18 months later with Den. Plus Cindy being attacked is probably the first step to her rehabilitation after tonight. Then again, lines from Ian and Elaine very much emphasised the possibility of death.

Cracking episodes though, I think they probably topped at least the last 10 years of Christmas episodes. Basically could have been any of Ian, George, Junior, Lauren, Elaine, Peter, Gina, Anna or Kathy responsible. Could even be Kojo, I guess.

I think it'll be Anna

Cindy being bashed over the head similar to Lucy whilst wearing a locket that Lucy owned, Bobby was the culprit then and Anna is the closest link to him and also the most surprising from the suspects we have currently.

I really loved Lauren this episode, her just sitting back watching it all unfold was great, I feel sorry that they all turned on her as well, giving it all "you knew and didn't tell me?" to Elaine but when Lauren does it she's made to feel like she shouldn't have

In before it is Cindy junior and she lurking in the shadows and heard everything

No but in all seriousness it could be anyone as Bobby wasn’t a potential suspect for Lucy and it ended up being him.

Nah I don't think it will be Kojo, they obviously want us to think it's Gina the way we saw her sneak out, shes constantly portrayed as the "hot headed" sister but she's really just protective. I don't think Molly is a bad actress I just think she's not been given that much to work with for Anna, she's meant to be this airy fairy naive baby of the family, I don't think she's been allowed to make many decisions for herself as a result just by the nature of her dad and Gina but she has been shown to have quite intense reactions within herself to things (ie Bobby, Freddie, the abortion, even finding Cindy etc) she doesn't really let things go which can also be seen with the Mistletoe scene between her and Freddie earlier. The expression on her face as well when she looked out the window to see Cindy outside, it wasn't just hurt you could see there was anger there too, maybe not so much bc of the cheating reveal but because of what Cindy said to them before she left. She probably feels that all her mum does is cause hurt and always will so she has to do something about it, likely won't intend to kill her, she was just going down to talk to her but was overcome with rage at the sight of her etc. Anna makes the most sense to me and has the most scope for future storylines in connection imo.

Anna would be interesting. They can and will go there on occasions, just look at Bobby/Lucy and the shockwaves that's had for over 10 years.

(Please can it be Jane )

The second episode was brilliant. CLASSIC Eastenders!!! I loved all the references and throwbacks across the two episodes. Cindygate was a cross between the Stax affair reveal and Sharongate. I don’t think Cindy is dead but will probably be in a coma perhaps until the 40th Anniversary in February which I also expect the person who attacked her will be revealed to the audience.

Now who was the attacker? Initially I thought Kojo was the culprit last night but on reflection and reading Lindsey’s brilliant theory on Anna’s motives. It definitely would be the most interesting choice for Anna to be Cindy’s attacker. There would be so much scope to explore if it is the case and even wider ramifications for the Knight family.

Again BRAVO to Michelle Collins for a superb performance through out that episode. A great script by the legend that is Simon Ashdown. The Clenshaw era will definitely go down as one of the best eras of the show.
