Surely Lynne would have been better placed for sorting Zoe out as they grew up as sisters and got on very well whereas Stacey and Zoe always hated each other. Obvious reasons why it wasn’t written that way but still.

Tonight's episode was fantastic. I was totally engaged all the way through, to the point I didn't even think I was watching people act. Uncomfortable viewing at times, but realistically so. I complete

Vicki offering £2k to the girl on the Tube as well when they had only just had to borrow money 💀

The “something terrible” Zoe did was definitely walk out on Joel lol I’m stuck between it being far fetched and obviously what’s going to happen, but the fact they kept juxtaposing the Zoe scenes with stuff to do with Joel is so on the nose it can’t not be the case surely? Especially given that she was overhearing Kat talk about Tommy.

Zoe is totes Joel’s real mum and abandoned him. It actually all fits really well right down to Zoe suddenly not wanting anything to do with Kat offscreen all those years ago. It also makes sense why Vicki came back with a new man instead of Spencer and why Joel is her stepson rather than writing in a child for her during her absent years.

Unfortunately it does feel like a coincidence too far given Kathy married Sharon’s biological father and the Knights moved in across the road from where Cindy used to live.

One thing I’m sure won’t happen though-no one will ever mention to Zoe that she has a twin brother. That was one of the worst twists ever.

Absolutely obsessed with Vicki almost battering Joel and violently getting in his face

EDIT:

🤣

It's definitrly that. Also yes at that 2k storyline 🤣

I hope that Joel says, you ain't my movva to Kat or to Vicki again, and that's when Alfie brings back Zoe. She steps in the door just as he's saying that and says, no, but I am. Duff duff.

I can’t see past it but I hope not, Zoe and Kat’s history alone is enough of a story to go on imo and Joel/Vicki/Ross I think have enough going on with that saga, neither party needs it. I just can’t see it not being the case, they could have had his mum be dead or in prison or whatever, but for the first mention of his mum being that she walked out, in scenes juxtaposed with Zoe’s return, it just seems like an on the nose tease of what’s to come. For me the way that hearing Kat talk about Tommy pushed her to run away makes me think it hit a nerve with her leaving Joel as well.

Zoe has to be his mother which is fine but i hope they surprise us with it been something else.

Highlight of the episode: Nicola debuting her new hair and making sure it has to be mentioned.

More Phil and Kat scenes please, they're so great together. Phil has had a phenomenal year really and Steve is just shining!

Bernie apparently pestering Vinny about the shop accounts? Could she do it ON SCREEN please, she's not been seen in 3 months! (Kat and Alfie's "wedding day" crediting aside).
