Thank god she’s not Joel’s mum So the twins were Max’s?? Max cheating on Tanya with Zoe before he even KNEW Stacey is high camp. I remember when Tanya and Max moved to the square she was just forgiving him for cheating but that was another woman, she was played by the woman who plays Moira in Emmerdale. But for the babies to be born 2006 it could have been a 2005 affair before Max and Tanya came to Albert Square. I did think maybe Den was the dad so that links here to Vicki and Sharon but given he was murdered in Feb 2005, the timelines wouldn’t work.

What a gripping episode tonight!!! Zoe's Walford return has been handled so well. I'm interested to find out the connection between her and Max... Also I wonder who's the father of her babies is.

The baby looked mixed race to me (I may need to watch that particular scene again) so that might indicate that Anthony is the father of her twins?

Surely not Max, I'd assume Zoe maybe contacted him after she somehow got wind of his affair with Stacey and there's some connection there which is why it was Stacey that helped her first

My first guess was Anthony is the dad, it would explain why she was so spooked when she first saw him and the whole bit where she was asking him about having kids

Yeah, I’m not sure that confirms Max was the father of the twins but knowing him he could have been. I did have a feeling he’d pop up this week though.

The Joel theory now dead in the water is a bit of a relief. Plus the surviving son can’t be anyone we know either surely? I can’t think of any character even in that age bracket let alone anyone with a mysterious parentage.

Anthony could be the father, I was trying to search for clues but they weren’t forthcoming. There was nothing there to suggest they’d seen each other after their initial exits but it does feel like there’s more to Anthony’s return than just showing up for the wedding.

Thank goodness he was there though, this is the first shooting since the exit of St Sonia of the NHS so if he hadn’t been there she’d have been a goner.

I had hoped that this week was a bit more stripped back in regards to the Kat/Zoe scenes. I keep thinking back to the "you ain't my mother" week in 2001 where the full week was carried by the phenomenal performances of the cast and extremely well written scripts. I don't think the Kat/Zoe scenes this week were as fully fleshed out as they could have been.

Good episode, but Anthony's acting is JUST SO SO SO SO BAD!!!! Even worse thsn I remembered, and I rememebred him as wooden as a plank!

The way Anthony kinda lingered in the Vic at the end made me think he's going to be a lot more involved with Zoe, so yeah, I think he'll turn out to be the father!

I am thinking Anthony, for Zoe to come back at his dad’s wedding rather than any time before or after, him to be involved and saving her, I don’t think that is necessarily just a coincidence.

The child won’t be anyone we know, I suppose it is less about the child and more about Zoe having a secret and also something tying her to someone else bar her family.

We're presuming the little girl died as well but she maybe didn't, she was maybe in ICU, she never stuck around long enough to find out

As long as the "dead" twin doesnt turn into another Dermot from Redwater situation 😬

They wouldn't cast Anthony for anything like that. His acting is too crap!

Also LOL at the high camp comment about her knowing Max the Bean!! Agreed! So camp! 🤣 And now he's heard Kat, he'll come back to the Square.

Also, why would Max know about the babbies? And why on EARTH did Linda go around telling everyone that Max was the father?! Just keep it a secret!! Don't tell all your neighbours

Max and Zoe only met a year ago so it's definitely not him

I don’t think Anthony is too much of a stretch, they were engaged at one point although he would have been 2-3 years gone at the point where Zoe left Walford. I suppose they could have briefly reconnected, but now I’m not sure the baby thing is so much about who the father is as much as just a layer of Zoe’s trauma and an explanation to why she is this way now.

I agree about Anthony, i have always found him so wooden and nothing has changed.
