A Claire return would be a nice touch for Nigels storyline but ya im not seeing the major christmas storyline for this year as of yet unless as you say Nigel dies which i hope isnt the case.

The Zoe stuff is going round in circles and it's really tedious. Every episode, she loses the cat, Anthony pops up out of nowhere while she's out on the market, and then somebody's apparently broken in to stalk her, then rinse and repeat the next episode. How many times has the cat gone missing in the last week???

The Okie storyline has been dragged out far too long too, I know suspending disbelief is important for soaps but this is going way beyond that - nobody realising anyone coming in and out of Kojo's flat is insane. It's a waste of Harry and Kojo too, who are both likeable characters.

Nigel's storyline is the saving grace, I've really come round to Julie since we've seen a bit more of her away from this specific storyline and the dynamic between her and Phil is interesting.

I agree about Julie, she is definitly coming more and more into her own as the weeks move on and im starting to like her, she also has some great one liners.

I wonder if she and Phil will get together when Nigel dies...

Echoing what everybody else is saying. I can't actually believe how much they've f***ed up such an iconic characters (Zoe) return.

Other than the Halloween episode with the old Slaters home video, Zoe’s return has fallen a bit flat for me. It’s crazy Michelle said for so long she would only return if the script was strong yet this is what we’ve got…. hopefully it’s heading towards something magnificent but I’m just not sure.

Ideally, we will see the returns of Chrissie and Sam to have the three witches of Walford reunite again. 🙏Chrissie could return with Jake (he would surely want to visit Alfie at some point) and Sam returned not long ago and has a son on the square so it isn’t out of the question.

IMO it would be utterly stupid to finally have Zoe back and not capitalise on it with Chrissie and Sam back, especially with Vicki on the square (and Sharon if she returns soon).

Glad people are warming to Julie, I think she clicked with me so quickly because her actress Karen Henthorn is such a talent.

Agreed that Zoe's return has been a flop so far after the trailer/initial reunion with Kat seemed promising. Here's hoping the full-time Max return lands better as I did enjoy his scenes with Lauren and Oscar before he vanished again.

The show's slump in quality right now is disheartening. I wanted to give the new exec producer the benefit of the doubt but I'm concerned that Christmas is next month and I'm not feeling particularly engaged, when the run-up to the most hyped episode of the year should feel exciting.

Here's hoping things pick up sooner rather than later...
