Maybe they will kill Zoe off at Christmas and it will be a big whodunnit, she's not exactly a character with loads of potential anyway

Zoe was never a great character and nor was Anthony. They were remembered for their storylines. Zoe for the Kat reveal and Den’s murder, Anthony for his unsuitable relationship with Kat which is more remembered for her and being Paul’s straight laced brother.

Bringing them both back is destroying any legacies they had. Was it Jean? Who cares?

There are some good points. Boutique Hotel is the new ‘it’s Elaine’.

I also like Ian and Lauren’s relationship.

Lauren is the strongest thing about this show right now, Jacqueline Jossa is incredible. And that’s even without her family being there, she slots in so well basically anywhere and even though her and Peter have had some shocking moments and felt like such a wrong match, they feel right now.

Jean, Anthony and Zoe all feel at a total dead end like… really what on earth can they even do with any of them now?! I suppose Zoe has her son out there somewhere. Part of me thinks this flash forward will be her getting married to Max or some shit lmfao it feels like there is no way out of everything revolving around her rn💀

The die lights had me f***ing SCREAMING this is just so beyond abysmal 💀💀💀💀 her being killed off and us never having to witness this shite again is about the only acceptable ending for this storyline. This is making Jenna Russell’s Michelle look like the most genius return of all time.

Quite enjoyed the partial Neighbours cast soundtrack in the Vic for the send-off to Australia (Stefan Dennis, Holly Valance, Jason Donovan). I wonder if including those (especially Stefan as a current cast member) was partly a deliberate nod in tribute to Neighbours ending as there are plenty of other Aussie artists that could have been played. Or maybe it's just a reflection of how much of Australia's music industry originated in Neighbours.

Whatever they’ve got in mind, whatever pay off there supposedly may or may not be, I just fully cannot believe that they truly thought Nicholas Bailey and Michelle Ryan could even remotely carry a storyline let alone one that basically forms the entire show right now. I agree they were fine as they were being part of history and having storylines we remember, but there is zero need for either of them to be around in 2025. Both families have enough going on, so it’s not like it’s even building back up a family that needed it or anything. If anything the Slaters are severely suffering when Kat and Alfie getting the pub back should be a triumph for them.

You can actually see that Jessie Wallace is struggling to deliver this crap. And when the least annoying thing in the scene is Alfie, that’s a real problem!

I noticed that!!! EE is very very poor atm. And it's all so predictable! Antjony the dad, Sam stalking Zoe, things like that!

Yea I saw a behind the scenes clip of her and Shane filming the liquid courage scene from the other week and she honestly just looked like she was done, she's been in the most episodes this year so I don't blame her

I saw that too!! The blooper

Anthony was never a great character but what even is this character assassination? He was NEVER a creep.

People change in 20 years though... also he was always such a nothing character anyway. So trashing his character isn't exactly a big loss - if anything its finally made him interesting

They do but in a soap, the beauty is seeing the change happen over that time. Anthony has been off screen for almost two whole decades and is suddenly brought back as a villain? The writing for that is as poor as it is for most other things right now.

Genuinely they'd be as well just bringing in a brand new character if they wanted to create a villain, of course characters can take that turn but it doesn't work when it's one that's not been on screen for two decades.

Ok Anthony is kind of camp idc this is hysterical

The "What do you know, I'm a doctor" line had me cackling.

Guess that's Sam confirmed as stalker then?

It's just all so obvious!!!!

Sam always just looks so at home when she’s Kim.

I won’t be able to tolerate her being the stalker though. It’s just seems for too petty for her. I will be interested to see her and Zoe interact after all this time but that’s what I thought about Anthony and look where we are now.
