Michael, I think you should stop watching the show. You don’t seem to get it at all.

I don’t think the Joel story is quite over yet. I imagine we’ll see him again and possibly get some scenes of Joel in custody / a trial. Max Murray was great within the role though. The main surprise I had and maybes we may get this but I’m shocked we’ve not seen his mam on screen yet. I wonder if they have cast and if she’ll make an appearance (not saying she needs to be a main character but it could add something to the story).

I feel the same, i think there might be more to come and possible a return late next year when he gets released early or something.

Is the Joel storyline not meant to come to a head for Halloween? I like that they've completely taken him out of it and are focussing on the damage that's been done to those around him as in a lot of things it's always the perpetrator that gets the attention rather than the victims

I think that pretty much confirms Jasmine has some sort of tie to the Fords considering the questions she was asking Gina and the comments she made after being hit by Nigel's car. It already retcons Cindy's probation officer's comments that Jackie Ford died alone, unvisited, so I do wonder what connection Jasmine has. I think it's hilarious that Jasmine has interacted with so many people since her arrival but Cindy has been the least of those! Poor timing for scheduling perhaps but if you're going to bring someone in like her who wants Cindy "to pay for what she's done" then some on screen action between the characters goes a long way to make that a bit more impactful.

(Or this could be a huge red herring and Cindy has done something else catastrophic during her time in witness protection which is also very plausible).

Probably best not to have Jasmine spend lots of time with Cindy initially. Her questions have been a little on the nose as it is if they’re trying to make it some sort of mystery.

Not sure where Julie is going with this. Does she think Nigel will keep quiet if she convinces him that she was the one driving?

Surely if they explained Nigel has dementia they'd put him into some sort of assisted living place rather than a cell? Diminished responsibility etc it all seems a bit ridiculous

Is it just me or is Michelle Ryan's acting coming off a little strange on screen? Today's episode being a prime example, some scenes felt really OTT (e.g. the Kat and Vicki scene at the end).

I feel like we're going into another mental health storyline with Zoe, just with the whole intense reactions thing etc either that or there's more to her motive to finding her son

I think a lot of people don’t really remember that Michelle Ryan was never the best performer even though she was competent enough. And the character of Zoe was never particularly likeable.

They’re already struggling to write her as a woman in her early forties so she still acts like the teenager she was twenty years ago.

Nice to see Vicky standing in for Sharon again 🙄

Zoe was always very unlikeable tbh, but that helps bring the drama!

Why is Elaine letting underaged Oscar practically take root in the Albert given all the fuss with the police when Bert and Ernie ended up having alcohol at their street party thing 😭

I guess he's needed to drive forward this Jasmine story, especially when we don't have many young adults in the show. He'll be 18 in December so perhaps they're just hoping people won't notice

Why has Gina been stuck in hospital even though the car didn’t even hit her? Has this been explained?

Also has where Jasmine is living been explained and I’ve just missed it? It was odd to see her return to the square after discharging herself without this information. As I said, I may have missed it.
