I imagine the Gemma probably finds the work for Hollyoaks more interesting because that Clare is a psychopath.

It’s been wonderful to have Clare Bates back but she is only needed in the context of the Nigel story.

Julie is a different story though. She has been around long enough to forge connections with new characters. There’ll be a place for her when Nigel is gone. I wonder if they could even tempt Jon Lee back for a stint?

I know she’s young, it’s not really the actress but the writing imo. I just don’t know why she wouldn’t go with Jay, I know the writers were backed up against a wall given he got sacked so quickly but he wouldn’t have just pissed off and left her. Like… didn’t he say he had to stay with her at Christmas because she had nobody? In which case she would just move back with Jay surely? It’s all just so lazy, they could have all just moved away for a fresh start with Lexi and preferably Callum. That way Lexi gets some happiness and everyone is kind of together, probably easier to visit Ben up north as well. Given they split up Callum and Ben, it’s not like they’re keeping her there for Ben as such.

Aaron Thiara is playing a blinder but I don't think any of Ravi's mental health story is landing with the viewer in the way it should. Are we supposed to care? Because I don't and Priya is very much laying on the dramatics a bit too much.

Like what happened to Avani, and Nugget could have still got epilepsy, i think it would be way more impactful if he was just struggling like a normal person might with what he’s been through. It’s playing second fiddle to this ridiculous drugs/crime/police grass saga, which is a disservice to Aaron and the story.

I assume Max is the top drugs guy, hence why he's always walking around with money. I couldn't care less if I tried, though.

The scenes in the woods were embarrassing. I like Ravi and Priya is so good, but it's just bad TV at the moment.

And Max banging on Lauren's door enough to wake the dead. Obviously no concern for his sleeping grandchildren upstairs.

Loved Alfie and Sam's little scene. My interest always immediately piques when Kim Medcalf appears on my screen.
