I have no doubt the few remaining tickets will see for the second gig, only about 150 left & they are either aisle or general adm, When Bruce Springsteen came to Limerick we were in the Gen Admin & waited until people went to the bar which is at the back & we then trotted up to the front . I hope security are ready for the Robbie fans . We will have a great view from the stands , I am gone past all that rushing to barriers even if it's Robbie .

One resident said when she first saw it she "had to turn around and go back" to check what she thought she had seen

A giant 60ft (18m) robot that is thought to have dominated Wembley Stadium during a Take That tour 15 years ago, has been spooking walkers and drivers in Wiltshire.

The huge mechanical man, described as a "creepy fella" by one local resident, has been spotted "lurking in the trees" in the village of Compton Bassett near Calne.

Robbie Williams sold his seven-bedroom mansion in the village a few years ago and it is thought the giant robot - the centrepiece of Take That's 2011 Progress Live tour - was left behind.

Sarah Spencer, posting on the Calne in Photographs Facebook group, said: "When I first saw it I had to turn around and go back to see what I thought I'd seen."

'I thought it was a Wicker Man'

The massive squatting mechanical man was first spotted hiding in the bushes by Kristina Bowen, as she was driving the "pretty way" home to Calne.

"Something caught my eye. I thought: 'what's that?'. I've driven up and down that road many times and have never spotted it before," she said.

So I stopped the car and there he was - this giant humanoid sitting in amongst the trees, looking down into the field."

She said the giant figure must be "absolutely massive" to be able to spot it from the road.

"It must be as big as a house," she said.

"It caught me completely off guard but I was intrigued. I thought someone had built a Wicker Man."

And she was not the only one. Posting her "weird" sighting on Facebook, the post not only attracted scores of likes but comments as well.

Jane Collett, described the giant apparition as "spooky" when she spotted it the day before and Goldie Bates, posted that she was "well shocked" by it.

Matt Hayes, commented that when he rode past it he thought he was "seeing things".

While Liz Neve, posted that the first time she saw it she also "wondered" if she had imagined it.

"It's such a perfect location as it just seems to emerge from nowhere - and then as you drive alongside it, it seems to withdraw back into the foliage," she wrote.

"[But] I was concerned that the locals might be building up to a re-enactment of the Wicker Man."

Following the tour, it is thought Om was bagged by Robbie Williams and installed at his former home in Wiltshire

But with no known plans for a restaging of the 1970s cult horror film in the village, it is thought the mechanical structure is a relic of Take That's 2011 sell-out tour.

Progress Live was the first time the group had toured as a five-piece since 1995.

And the centrepiece of the extravagant £15m stage set was a giant animatronic man, nicknamed Om.

Standing 100ft (30m) tall when fully erect, Om was designed to lower band members on to the stage on its giant palms.

But at a gig in Manchester, its mechanics failed leaving singers Mark Owen and Howard Donald trapped 10ft above the stage. Ladders had to used be rescue them.

Following the tour, according to the Daily Express, Om was bagged by Robbie Williams - destined for the grounds of his Los Angeles home.

But instead, it seems, Om ended up tucked away in the trees on Williams' former Wiltshire estate in Compton Bassett.

Robbie Williams has revealed he has recently been diagnosed with being on the autistic spectrum.

For many years, Williams has spoken openly about being neurodivergent and having ADHD, but in a recent Q&A with fans discussed his neurodivergency in more depth.

Williams made the news public during a candid Q&A with fans at the launch of his new clothing line at the London flagship Flannels store.

He honestly shared, “I have ADHD and I just found out I have a bit of autism as well, which I actually f***ing love because it explains so much.”

Per Music News, Williams then joked that he plans to use his autism diagnosis to get himself out of trouble in the future, adding, “It is my get-out-of-jail-free card now, and all the weird shit that I do I just say, ‘Sorry I’m autistic’.”

The former Take That singer elaborated on his neurodivergency, “With the ADHD you can completely and utterly concentrate on something 1000 per cent, but with absolutely everything else, you just cannot do it. Ask my kid.”

He said that when he’s “creating images and making funny things” is when he becomes “completely and utterly obsessed”, which he uses a tool to escape from “everything in the world that you panic or scared about”.

Williams then touched on his intrusive thoughts, sharing, “For example, this is how crazy I am, recently, I was sitting on a plane, and I thought, ‘What I can have telekinesis and my intrusive thoughts tell the plane to crash itself.'”

The ‘Candy’ singer added, “So that’s the kind of level of insanity that I’m dealing with, it’s best to train my brain to do something better than worrying about having supernatural powers and crashing a plane.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Williams beat The Beatles’ longstanding record of having the most number one albums in UK chart history when Britpop became his 16th to reach the top spot.

After a busy summer headlining festivals across Europe, Williams is set to return to the UK and Ireland in 2027, recently confirming his first dates, which will see him perform at Lancashire’s Lytham Festival on July 3rd and Limerick’s Thomond Park Stadium on July 6th.

For the last couple of weeks I haven’t got to sleep before 8am.
It was 10am the other day.
My body has decided we live in LA and, as such, we go to bed on LA time.
That would be fine.
Except “we” don’t.
“We” are very much in Europe.
This is causing some mental difficulties, as you might expect from living the day backwards.
I don’t feel entirely in charge of my faculties.
It’s not sad.
It’s not depressing.
It’s…… whacky.
I feel whacky.
For example, some of you came to Flannels to see me launch Hopeium there.
Thank you ❤️
Afterwards I walked out the back door, straight past you and got in my car.
I sat there thinking:
“What is it I do? What is it I say? Surely I should do more than just acknowledge that they exist?”
It was the strangest feeling.
I was stuck.
Like I hadn’t human-ed before.
So, sorry about that.
I think you would laugh if you could see me sitting in bed writing this, looking confused as I type.
I’m baffled.
Totally ready to do gigs.
Totally ready to Popstar.
Not at all ready to human.
Anyway, I came back and did all 20 of these in less than two hours.
Apparently this bit of my brain is working.
If you meet me in the wild over the next few days, please don’t expect much from me.
I’m a full-on mentalist right now.

Robbie Williams says that with age, he has learned to let go of imposter syndrome and appreciate just how far he's come

Robbie Williams has opened up about overcoming a "huge amount of imposter syndrome", saying he has reached a point in his life where he feels incredibly "lucky" and "grateful" to be doing what he does.

The former Take That star, who is set to play two gigs at Limerick's Thomond Park next summer, reflected on how his attitude towards his career and success has changed as he has got older.

Speaking to Brendan O'Connor on RTÉ Radio 1, the 52-year-old singer admitted that he once struggled to believe he deserved his success.

"There was a huge amount of imposter syndrome, a huge amount of 'I was in a boyband and I’m lucky to be and how dare I, and who do I think I am thinking that I am someone I can’t be etc.’"

Williams said that, with age, he has learned to let go of those feelings and appreciate the position he finds himself in.

"You sort of shed skins as you get older and I think that something that has enabled me to love what I do and where I am is to understand exactly how lucky and how grateful I am, to be where I am, doing what I do, and I have the best job in the world," he explained.

He said that change in perspective has allowed him to stop dwelling on whether he deserves his success and instead focus on the experience of performing for his fans.

"I’ve sort of shed that skin where I hate myself and feel like I don’t deserve it, and just inhabiting what’s in front of me, which is invariably 98 per cent of the time a bunch of incredibly kind and compassionate, empathetic and loving people that are beaming back to me that they are enjoying what I’m doing, so that’s where I’m at."

Asked about the moment that changed his perspective on success, Williams pointed to the arrival of his daughter, Theodora "Teddy" Rose, thirteen years ago.

Teddy is the eldest of Williams' four children with his wife, Ayda Field. The couple, who married in 2010, also have sons Charlton "Charlie" Valentine and Beau Benedict Enthoven, and daughter Colette "Coco" Josephine.

"When my daughter arrived thirteen years ago, I thought that when I was growing up, being famous and being successful in the entertainment industry was going to be a fix-all - that if I go and do this, then maybe I won’t hurt as much and maybe I won’t be as sensitive.

"I didn’t actually consciously think that, but subconsciously, when that didn’t arrive, it became my conscious thought: 'Oh, this hasn’t fixed anything, it’s ruined everything!’

"Then my daughter arrived and it stopped being this place that I was looking to fix me and it started to be my job. And because it’s my job, and I’ve got to work for her and for them, I then started having so much gratitude for my job being the best job in the world," he added.

Williams continued: "And then, baby steps and then a few jumps and huge leaps, and now I’m 52 and I realise what I’ve got and what’s in front of me, and not this other reality that my brain was trying to create for me."

Robbie Williams will perform at Thomond Park in Limerick on Tuesday, 6 July and Wednesday, 7 July 2027, with the second date added due to demand.
