Really? Alexandra Burke is on there with Hallelujah but not Leona Lewis with Bleeding Love?

Upon further inspection that list might be wrong. Mariah's All I Want For Christmas is at 4million copies sold in the UK, so it would put that one on top. Also, Cher's Believe is 'only' 2x Platinum, so.... I think this is not right.

Let's hope the OCC gives new sales updates for Wannabe's anniversary in a few weeks!

I hope they do a proper update of the all the singles and of course the BPI finally give Holler the 3x Platinum certification it really deserves 🤫

That could be a physicals list tbf, Mariah Carey is 100% not on 4 million physicals that is streaming and downloads included(mainly streaming). Perhaps Alexandra Burke sold more physicals than Leona with it being a "winners single" and Leona was stronger on downloads?

The list is for Physical copies sold,

Mariah is unfortunately #1 now on the overall chart. Also, Cher's Believe is at 5x Platinum with over 3 million sold.

Ah yes I was looking at the album certification by mistake!

Hopefully Wannabe gets there pretty soon too

Obviously there is a mistake here. What you meant to type was:

Baby Please Don't Stop

02/03/2019: #1 for 11 weeks

27/04/2019: #1 for another 45 weeks

Coming Home for Christmas

30/11/2019: #1 for 62 weeks

You bitches keep diminishing Bunton's success, outrageous! I should ban you!!!

joking! Thank you for these (false) stats!! 😘

‘Wannabe’ sales from Official Charts:

To date, the song has racked up just shy of 3 million chart units in the UK alone (2.98 million, to be precise.) An incredible 1.2 million of these consist of sales of its physical formats, with the song also boasting over 199 million combined streams and counting.

Closing in on 3 million heart

Second biggest song by a girl group here, only after "No Scrubs" by TLC.

Annoyingly they’ve only mentioned the total ‘sales’ by physicals at 1.2m when it’s 1.4 with downloads. It’s a shame we did get the breakdown of sales v streams but very happy to see it approaching 3 million

It's so frustrating that No Scrubs is now the "most successful" girl band single, when it wasn't even on the radar whatsoever back in the day. When asked the most successful girl band single nobody was guessing that one and I'm sure they still wouldn't. Playlisting making a mockery of it once again.

Tbf No scrubs has probably been used more in popular culture contributing to its sales , theres nothing wrong with coming second

Bullshit. Like where? Wannabe has been used for those high profile ads promotion women and inclusivity, in a hit movie, covered by two big solo acts, used on news reports worldwide whenever any rumours of the girls come up, been in a musical... there is not a planet where No scrubs is used more in popular culture. No Scrubs benefits from better playlisting due to being an American artist's track and Spotify is biased towards American acts.

Ok but just going to say No scrubs has been sampled a lot
