Songwriter Ken Howard passed away also - involved with writing the brilliant #1 hits 'Have I The Right?' by The Honeycombs and 'The Legend Of Xanadu' by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, would be happy to hear either of those again.

Oop

Feel like I should give a heads up that I'm not sure I'll be able to do this tomorrow unfortunately... I've been feeling very ill the last few days and really struggling to focus on anything which is not ideal for having to prep this. I'll try though x

Sorry for the lame excuse, should have prepped earlier etc. but you know what I'm like :jump:

I cannot today, I have to catch a plane today at the exact time of the show so better next week for me :D

get better soon Bre' x

Yeah I think I am just going to leave this for another week, apols. Will try and get the next session prepped in the next few days (and I will finally put up the best/worst poll from the last one today I promise x).

Unfortunately I've still been sick this whole week (starting to finally see some signs of hopeful recovery today, touch wood x) so didn't end up finding time to prep for this week either especially as I also had BJSC mod stuff to be doing (I was working on that late last night and planned to try and prep this in the afternoon today but I was too tired) - I don't want to skip another week though so will still be doing this today but it's going to be a shorter session just from 5-7pm + a few bonus songs but no #2s this week, I'll do two sets of #2s next time and maybe just 2 hours of #1s again. Sorry for the slapdashery. Hopefully see y'all in about 45 mins x

Oh yeah sorry I forgot to actually post in this thread that I'd be missing last week as well - will be back tomorrow and I don't think I am busy on any upcoming Sundays so we'll hopefully be uninterrupted for a while now!

I will just do 2 hours of #1s again this week to allow more time for two sets of #2 bonuses. Will post the lists of #2s later tonight x

Changed my mind about the above plan - the list of #2s from the previous session was, er, not the most inspiring, so I've decided that I will go back to 3 hours of #1s this week and just combine the #2s from the past two sessions into one.

As this is two sessions' worth of #2s I'll say that for this week only you can nominate up to 4 favourites instead of the usual 3. (Although not sure this is really necessary as I struggled to pick 3 let alone 4, that is probably mostly because I don't know most of the list as per usual though xx)

The 5th Dimension - One Less Bell To Answer

Aretha Franklin - Spanish Harlem

Bill Withers - Use Me

Billy Preston - Outa-Space

Carpenters - Hurting Each Other

Carpenters - Rainy Days And Mondays

Carpenters - Superstar

Carpenters - We've Only Just Begun

Clint Holmes - Playground In My Mind

Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose - Too Late To Turn Back Now

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Long As I Can See The Light

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lookin' Out My Back Door

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Travelin' Band

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Who'll Stop The Rain

Deodato - Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)

Eddie Holman - Hey There Lonely Girl

Elton John - Daniel

Elvis Presley - Burning Love

Eris Weissberg and Steve Mandell - Dueling Banjos

Gilbert O'Sullivan - Clair

Gladys Knight & The Pips - Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye)

The Hollies - Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)

The Ides Of March - Vehicle

The Jackson 5 - Mama's Pearl

The Jackson 5 - Never Can Say Goodbye

The Jaggerz - The Rapper

Jean Knight - Mr. Big Stuff
