Great to see 'Bed Chem' making it's way up the top 10! I've seen a few of those lyrics go viral and it's a shame it's so far behind 'Espresso' because I would LOVE for that to get a look in on the official charts as the 3rd track </3

wasnt expecting the Oasis song to climb, everybody seemed to be very pissed off at the whole ticketemaster ticket fiasco yesterday

on Amazon:

2 Wonderwall

3 Don't look back in anger

5 Shes electric!!!

11 Champagne supernova

22 Morning glory

23 Some might say

32+40 Live forever

other songs:

10 Taste

13 We Pray

16 Clean Bandit

19 Katy Perry - Lifetimes

Massive success for Oasis - 3 songs in top ten seem very likely now. Can Live Forever better its #10 peak? Cannot wait for the Spotify update.

Live Forever deserves a higher peak for sure <3

Do we know if Wonderwall got reset cos the label asked for it vs. the OCC forgetting their own rules and automatically resetting it? :D

Still amazes me how there can be such huge discrepancies like this. I know the DSPs have different demographics, but still. Presumably it's well playlisted there then.

One reason could be this: the Amazon chart you’re looking at is not a full Amazon Chart, it’s only the Amazon Prime chart (rather than the Amazon Music Unlimited chart for which you pay extra) which is effectively the ‘free’ chart - though I think they still count as premium/paid for/ 100:1 ratio as you need Amazon Prime membership. Despite the fact it’s a premium account, you can’t select what Amazon plays for you (unless playing it directly from the chart) so it will have certain tracks it plays most (for example at Christmas it has a 50% chance of playing Wham! and 50% chance of playing Mariah first).

This might not be 100% accurate but it does give you a good idea of how Amazon works.

Could also be worth considering that streaming services *are* discovery platforms. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that if you spend any amount of time being influenced by them, it'll probably shift your taste in music a bit, making those little differences between the charts grow over time.

Interesting point. You can look at it two ways - the Clean Bandit record shouldn't be as high on OCC if it's only there because of Amazon playlist plays, or it's being unfairly hampered by lack of playlist support elsewhere and people aren't able to discover it.

Maybe both at the same time.

Difficult to see that explaining the difference between a track being top 10 one place and not top 200 in another though.

Oasis up to 2, 5 and 8 on Spotify

Also in the top 20 at 10, 11 and 14

Never said it was a sole factor. But even that being said, the gap between top 10 & top 200 is not anywhere near as big as it sounds.

Wow, great to see Champagne Supernova No.10 and She's Electric at No.14. Shame the big three will prevent them charting.

Not that I'm not elated to see Live Forever quite clearly heading for a new official peak though.

Shame Fatman Scoop isn’t in the top 200 following his tragic passing
wow 525K for Live forever <3
