:hi:

For a while now I've been working on putting together a comprehensive compilation album celebrating music by male artists that I've loved for a long time, have discovered recently, or along the way while creating this have also discovered: enter 'TWINKPOP'. Born from a love of pop music and embracing the label that is generally attached to the type of artists included in the compilation, I've managed to include 92 unique artists*, spread across four discs with 23 songs on each.

*although there are no exact repeat artists in the compilation, there are artists included that have been/currently are part of any groups that have been included

It's been really fun putting this together and going back to some songs that are reaching a good age now, some that will be timeless bops, and some that are changing the landscape of what defines twink-pop (a la some of the most recent songs included). When creating the compilation, I narrowed it down to two songs by each of the artists and decided which was best to include so there may or may not be a follow-up at some point, including some artists that didn't make the cut this time around too. Although not the most popular 'genre' (can I call it that?) by any means - particularly on BuzzJack - there are already songs being released that I'm wishing I could have added.

Not expecting masses of people to take the time to listen :kink: but I hope you enjoy if you do ^_^

Long live the twinks! :bratcheeseblock:

I like this idea.

Male pop acts definitely get too little attention more often than not.

Twinkle twinkle lidl star.

Nice Buzzjack presents... influenced playlist anyway, maybe you should have joined them officially. I only know a few tracks in the playlist though.

Missing Noah Davis, Benedict Cork, Kristian Kostov, Silvester Belt, Jann, Liam Miller and Aidan Langford para mi, arguably also Stephen Slade but he only has like one song so I will let that slide :kink: also keep an eye out for Fritz Speck ;)

Great list all in all though

Kristian Kostov is there!! Specsavers is calling for you :brat:

Silvester Belt is definitely on the reserve list for a second compilation, and just listened to Liam Miller from your list... colour me invested!

Thanks for commenting, glad you like it

Nice idea Calum, will have a listen, a few Melodifestivalen acts on it I recognise to start!

Thanks Rich, hope you enjoy!

Also just a side note since BuzzJack Presents has been brought up... definitely not trying to step on any toes by keeping this separate from that, but I gathered this is a lot more niche and probably wouldn't drum up the same level of hype and engagement as the different editions of that have done (or maybe everyone's gonna unveil their true twink stan colours :bratcheeseblock:) so better just to show it off as a personal project.

:bratcheeseblock: Amazing work Calum! Lots of fantastic songs here... and many that I don't know! I'll have to get listening :music:

Where do I order this on CD?

So many amazing songs, impressed with the amount of Melodifestivalen and Eurovision twinks, but also plenty of tracks that I've not heard of and will need to check out asap based on the quality of the songs I do know! Even songs I don't know by artists I do (perhaps I'll recognise "The Dirt" when I play it, but not one that jumps out by title, so interesting choice for Benjamin Ingrosso  Also that Isac Elliot song better be worth it to be included over the absolute masterpiece that is "New Way Home")

Taking pre-orders from today for a small price :drink: re. both the comments on Benjamin and Isac, you won't have to wait long to see justice served in your favour there - incoming!! Having the luxury of some time off work this past week has had the creative juices flowing some more.

So during the selection process for the first edition of TWINKPOP I did choose more than one song for each artist in the event that I put together a second edition at some point, or any other names came to mind that I hadn't already included. Since posting the first compilation I realised there were actually quite a lot of names I didn't include, so more than 40 new artists have been included in this second edition alongside second songs from artists that featured in the first! (uhsting you'll be happy to know I've also included some of the names you suggested earlier in the thread, and Jahq, a certain song has been given its moment in the sun :magic:)

And here we have it, TWINKPOP II. Plenty more bangers, hope you all enjoy if you decide to give it a listen!!

Long live the twinks! :bratcheeseblock: [2]
