September 6, 20241 yr Author I know RAYE's on it but does Central Cee really deserve an A-list add? :unsure: Shocked Fred again.. is getting the 'tracks from' treatment but they do seem to love him! It's quite telling that Calvin x Ellie only lasted 6 weeks on the playlist. His last two singles were playlisted for 10 weeks and 8 weeks respectively. Kind of odd how they ignored Blossoms' and FLO's last few singles but are now supporting both again. September 6, 20241 yr Author I thought Die With A Smile would’ve gone up from the C-List. It's clear they're only begrudgingly playlisting it because it went top ten. They'll probably give it a couple of weeks on the B-list before booting it off.

September 6, 20241 yr Love the adds for Rex Orange County, Blossoms (Surprised they haven't been passed to R2 but 'Perfect Me' is the most commercial sounding off this era) and Nulifyer Yanya!! Thought that Tove Lo song would have been A Listed as its the sort of dance track they rinse!

That would make sense, especially with Radio 2 playlisting Guy For That. A shame though, as Guy For That is a much better song.

This has been said many times but Radio 1 don't just randomly choose which albums tracks to playlist. They only playlist songs which a record label nominates as a single and sends them for playlist consideration. It is sometimes the case that R1 and R2 simultaneously playlist different songs from the same artist. In this case, I guess Guy For That was the previous single so R2 are still playing that, they may or may not decide to subsequently playlist What Don't Belong To Me. September 6, 20241 yr It may be an awful song but Central Cee/RAYE was always going to be insta A-listed. Surprised The Last Dinner Party haven’t been A-listed yet.

September 9, 20241 yr It's funny how the crediting isn't allowed to say Pepsi, the presenters aren't allowed to say Pepsi but the song itself hasn't been altered at all and still says Pepsi. We know about the advertising rules on the BBC but this is a little ridic considering the song itself hasn't been altered.
